I went today, there's great deal, 50-pack, with a $10 in store rebate and a $10 mail-in reabate, so the net cost is $2.99. I don't how long it will last though. But just thought you might wanna know.

Congrats to the new and maybe youngest Peach Pro!!!

BTW - are Imations respected (how do they compare in the trader psyche with Fujis or Sony?)

While we are on this topic I have over 1000 shows and I am not particular about any CD's any brand works on my players and my burner so I wonder what all the fuss is about a CD is a CD if you can get 50 for 2.99 go get em. If anyone has a problem with what I send them I'll send them another.

You can, or used to be able to, get cheap discs that you could literally see through, they were always a tough read for the old CD burner. Imations are fine.

Boy, this is like a breath of fresh air to hear folks saying Imations are fine. I know some folks have continued to vilify them, but I've had great luck with them. I've made a couple of coasters because of them, but for what you pay for them, it's worth 1 or 2 occasional coasters out of a rack of 50 or 100 that you almost got for free! And that's only happened to me with one or two of the MANY spindles I've purchased.

And no one has yet some up with conclusive proof of longevity. So until I hear otherwise, I will continue to use the Imations, Phillips and TDK's, and others made in Taiwan, except for the occasional trade where someone insists on Fuji...

But, just to cover your tail when trading, make sure you mention what brand you're using, so everyone is aware of what they are getting.

I've never had a problem with any CD's that I've used. However, because of peer pressure, I buy Fuji's.

The only blanks that I have had ANY problem with is Phillips, and the failure rate on those has been maybe one disc out of 50..... that's about 2 percent if I remember my higher math correctly.... I buy Mitsui and Fuji because no one seems to have any allergic reactions to them.
