This subject line can be sung to "I want my MTV"!
I'm ready to go, CowboyNeil is ready to do ramp time for great seats, and folks from all over the country want a date to make trip plans around. I hope that Red Rocks is on the summer schedule, and it is announced soon.

We really hope to be able to make it again this year...hopefully we won't be on vacation at the lake.

If we go, we're gonna scope out what's going on at the entrances at the end of the stairs...last year we got there early, but when they opened up, we were in a line with ONE GUY doing all the checking! It was like rush hour on the LA Freeways - slow movin'
Down below us, we could see folks streaming in via an entrance manned by a bunch of RR folks.

Really no big deal though - all seats are good seats and we ended up right behind the soundboard before we moved down to squeeze in with Smiling Jack and company....

Please do come out so we can meet long enough to talk and not just in the hallway, like at the Beacon!

Hey Jim,
The best thing would be an early announcement so we can make plans. I know CowboyNeil will get to the steps/ramp early and I think Ernie/cruzpro will also.
Hey uncleJon, I think we met last year at Karen/Lynn's St. Patty's party at the Beacon-Red Rocks is a beautiful outdoor venue, and a naturally good place to see a concert.

If they annouce the date early enough to plan, and plane fare isn't sky high (pun intended) I'd like to be there as well.

Smilin' Jack...still have some floor space?

I'm kind of depending on a night or two at Red Rocks as another March has passed me by and yet I was not at the Beacon run, I would say the Jones for a show is growing.

It would be nice to get a date earlier sopeople can make plans and make it out. It would be cool to catch The ABB with the regular colo folks as well as Brofan, some fellow named Stormy and maybe a Bird sighting and a bunch of other folks I have yet to meet but have come to consider friends. I'm willing to do the Stairs so we can get up close and personal.

Count me in!

take a small roadtrip over to Pine Junction, then to Pine, and over to the best Damn bar in Colorado...the Bucksnort in Sphinx Park. The best Burger around! i haven't figured out just what they do to the meat, but if you like to "judge" a burger, you can't pass this one up. it puts a "cherry" on-top of a great R.R. performance! see you all there.

I agree the show "On The Rocks" was awesome last year ! The lineup sholud be appear like this - A Day of Music with The Allman Brothers Band , Gov't Mule , The Derek Trucks Band & Oteil & The Peacemakers . That would be awesome !

Seriously - announce The Red Rocks date early , It is a show not to be missed ! I will be there for sure !

Unclj,
Great news. Neil and Ernie will probably be the stairs/ramp mainstays and when we get a date we can plan. I hope the date comes soon and the timing is good-I've been trying to get an ABB party going the day or night before with only modest success (a lot of the Co. regulars and friends, neighbors, but usually only a few out of town folks. Last year's late date/announcement sure didn't help. I liked the 2 July shows 2 years ago since more people made it to Co.

Thanks Foppa

Things are alot better than they were a few months ago.Carrie's health has improved, and I hope that the summer vacation/rest will improve that dramatically.

Jack, those two nights were a thing of beauty.Something every other year keeps me from attending but this is an ON year so I'llbe there with bells (make that black socks if Bird makes it) on. if we are going to have a large group we need more than Ernie and me to secure real estate up front.Picnic on the stairs certainly enhances the Red Rock experience I find.

Unclj is volunteering also and if I remember right, Deb from Denver/cavemgr is willing also. I will do what I can-it will depend on who is staying with me and if I am needed as a driver with my suv. I can park in the handicapped area at top-you get in quicker from the ramp though.

It does sound inviting does'nt it. Instead of the hospitality sweeties you get a tuna fish sandwhich, a beer, and all the sunscreen you can put on.

Jack,Neil and the lovable Ernie, welcome to Colorado, the great rocky mountains. No we really are not here to socialise,we came for the music. Has anyone seen Steve-O and Carson?
