A collector brought an original '59 sunburst Les Paul down to one of the Beacon shows for Derek to play. Anyone know which night that was? Here's a couple pictures posted at the Les Paul forum....

That was actually a 1960 Les Paul that Derek played that night. I got to see and hold it after the show. Lots of finish checking on the top, a small "dent" in the fretboard on the first fret, but otherwise a most beautiful instrument. And didn't Mr. Trucks make it sounds sweet?!

Mike, he did play HIS Les Paul on the 18th, but I don't think it was that one.

He played it on the 13th. If I remember right (and that is a BIG IF, I think he used it for Mountain Jam)

He definitely used a Les Paul for Mountain Jam, and my mind and heart tell me that it was this vintage model because the pickups caught my eye that night. But I guess it could have been the new one. Honestly, I don't even trust my own memory most of the time, so I'm not a very good barometer for this stuff.

Anyone else out there for the 3/13 show?

Here is a shot of Derek from the 18th. This Les Paul appears to be different, look at the pickups compared to the shot a few posts up...
...Unless its just the shadows or glare from the lights.

He played a Les Paul on the 10th for 1-2 songs, not sure if it was the one pictured though.
