Just heard Howard Stern saying that Leslie West invited him to come see the brothers tomorrow
(3/21) and sit on side stage as they have asked Leslie to sit in and to play "born under bad sign"
- howard was bummed cause he wants to see the allmans, and he loves Leslie and his playing,
however being a weeknight and he gets up so early, he cant do it. He genuinly sounded bummed, and its doubtfull he'll show up, But expect Leslie West, the one time
"incredible mound of sound" to take to the stage of the beacon with the Brothers , tomorrow
night.
- wish I could be there.

Leslie is a cool guest for the Brothers. Warren sat in with Mountain this past summer on Long Island, and did several numbers; a few Cream songs, but I am not sure if they did Born Under a Bad Sign. Leslie is not as good as he once was, but he can still sing/growl! Sounds like fun!!!

I am sure Leslie West is briefly seen (but not credited) on the DVD "Festival Express" jamming with Delaney & Bonnie on their version of "Going Down The Road Feeling Bad". This was in the summer of 1970 on a train of musicians going across Canada to play several festivals.

I have just picked up the 'FESTIVAL EXPRESS' dvd, and it is an amazing piece of footage. I think every home should have one.

It has moments that are classic, once lost performances: wild bluesman Buddy Guy and his 100 foot guitar cord, the (mostly) acoustic Dead on "Don't Ease Me In", The Band "Slippin' & Slidin'" and a few others. But all in all I was slightly disappointed in the DVD.

Yeah, I got tired of hearing that same old excuse. If it's just a once in a while thing, go home, sleep from 4 to 7 p.m., get up and go out, sleep again from 12:30-3:30, or whaterver . . . he'd be fine.
