1) Who sang the harmony vocal on the EAP version?

2) Are there any keyboards on that version? Don't hear them that well if there are.

Don't have it right at hand to listen to but as I recall Gregg sang the harmony parts.

Get the StonyBrook release. Much easier to hear GA vocal and keys. Studio is pretty low in mix. TE, please come back to Columbus,Ohio!

depends on what quality version you have. If you have some dl'ed version, you def. wont hear the organ or keys. But if you have a cd version, such as the dreams compilation, the organ you can hear as bright as day, along with the electric piano here and there. The organ is really a driving flow to the song that most dont hear.

I can recall hearing the electric piano very clearly back when I got the LP in '72, but I agree-I don't think it is as audible on the CD versions that I have.

You guys must be kidding, lol...You can hear Gregg's electric piano pretty easily really. It does blend in with the subtle tones of the guitars but you can certainly hear it clearly. We've discussed EAP on this site here hundreds of times and I can't remember anyone ever saying that before...it's there, trust me. As far as a B-3 goes, it might be listed on the credits but I don't think there was a B-3 on "Blue Sky" IMO. I just listened to it again for the 10,326th time, to make sure I wasn't dreaming...I'm not, its pretty clear.

I like the version on the Dreams box set. You really hear the B-3 way up in the mix. Especially during the intro . Does anybody know if it's a different take than the EAP version or just a different mix ?

I also hear subtle differences in Melissa on Dreams vs EAP.

Yeah, to me the electric piano has been very clear on all versions, CD, vinyl, tape etc. The organ is mixed out of the EAP version, but the alternate mix on DREAMS has it mixed in, particularly on the intro and outro. (perhaps that's the only place it plays). And it certainly is Gregg singing the harmony.

The electric piano is very clear on the outro, just before the end.

Oh, ELECTRIC piano.Yes, kinda hear it. Sorta like a harpisicord. Very subtle.
I found the Dreams version and, yes, organ. No organ on the vinyl (or 8 Track I wore out long ago).
New guy here. Did not know this had been discussed here before but always wondered about it. I have other questions as well.

Definitely. It's one of the nicest things about the song.

Yep-as well as the acoustic guitar.
