Damn that's nasty news Josh -- wishing you all the best. Hopefully a compatible donor will soon be found.

jblizza,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you over having renal kidney failure and having to go through dialysis until a donor is found. My wife, Beth suffers from polycystic kidney disease and although at present her kidneys are functioning well, she still have deal with the likelihood at some point her kidneys will fail and she'll be in the same position you're in now. Take care, and I hope you get to enjoy the Beacon and the Wanee Fest, but most important I hope that you find a donor.

Hey there jblizza, I know what your going through. My best friend is also waiting for a kidney and pancreas transplant for 5 years. And if there is one piece of advise I can give you ( or my friend can give you) it is this. Stay positive and always let it know that it's you in charge of it, and not it in charge of you.

Best wishes to you and good vibes coming your way.
I'm very familiar with this after caring for my Dad for the last 2 years.
He was a renal dialysis patient for nearly 7.
Shoot me a PM if you just want to talk ....

Hi Josh,
I'm renal failure too and doing dialysis for over 28 years in Japan.
It's a very long term but you don't have to worry that circumstance is not same in USA and you will be found a donor much more easy than in Japan.
I spend my time (almost 5hours) at dialysis with listeniing/watching music, using iPod and portable DVD player. Now it's a great time to me.
There are many friends here and have traded me many many great sources, and I used dyalisis time for listening or watching these sources. By this way I can change this time as so useful and great.
I hope you may change your time comfortable just like as me.

If anything questions you have, please don't hesitate to PM me.
I'm not so good about English, but I may answer to you as much as I can.

I hope you will have a great nights in Beacon and Wanee, also pray for you will find your best matched donor soon.
