I received 4 of these Internationla Reply Postage Coupons from some folks in Australia in a recent B+P I did. My rural post office was lost when I tried to tell them what they were. If anyone has a post office that knows what these are and can use them l will gladly send them along. PM me if anyone can use them.

Steve

Here you go Steve.....

International Reply Coupons

International reply coupons (IRCs) provide foreign addressees with a prepaid means of responding to inquiries, solicitations, or other types of communications that are initiated by U.S. senders. IRCs are exchangeable for postage stamps at post offices in all foreign countries that are members of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). Each IRC is equivalent in value to the destination country's minimum postage rate for an unregistered airmail letter. The purchase price is $1.85 per coupon.

Thanks for the info. My post office is lost about them and I am just trying to send them to someone who might have better luck using them.

Wow I am surprized by this. They are redeemed for postage at the post office. I do not live in a big city but they knew what they were.

had many problems with these things mainly due to postal workers not knowing their products! they are redeemable for stamps. how hard is that? I don't bother with them any more and prefer trades/vines. and as Colin says, the green stamps are a much better option.

This is why I didn't international B&P offer/request. IRC costs more than real postage needs to send back.
How do you think waht is the better way for this postage probelms of international B&P?

Masahiko the best way for you to get the show is trade for the show. Many here will send it to you for free :-)
If you want to circulate a show offer up a couple freebies to people who will reoffer. Make sure they reoffer right away!

Rob's advice is good.

What I do for international B&P's (I live in Greece) is order batches of US stamps from the USPS online store and calculate postage using the online calculator on the USPS website.

The Postal Store
International Postage Rate Calculator

Rob, I have a small pack of IRC's that I never used. Now I know where to send them.

Thanks to Garry, my local PO now knows how to use them.

Since I spend over $1k per year on postage for photos, they had to learn how these work.

Can't have a dis-satisfied regular customer.

That is why I stick to trades and vines also. Just a hassle. Though I will readily admit that many here have just sent me things anyway. Much appreciated. I am glad that I have been able to do the same. As long as as this great music circulates, I will soak it up.

Amazing how much classic stuff sat in vaults or in storage and is now circulating since the "Computer age". Wish I had all these shows 40 years ago.

Jeez, now I know why I cringe every time I send a B&P package to the US. Always wondered just how (un)reliable those IRC's were. This confirms the worst. Great tip re buying from the USPS Shop.
Sorry for past inconveniences to anyone I've B&P'ed with.

Copya!!
