All three of the shows below are pretty rare, and for the most part they are unknown and untraded. I just put the Dahlonega, GA show to cdr from tape. It has a little bit of tape warble here and there, and some static since there was a major thunderstorm occuring outside of the venue. The Dahlonega, GA show is 58:09 in length and 14 tracks.

The 1995 audio is from the Kentucky Bluegrass Festival in Lexington. The audio is from the evening show. I doubt an early show audio exists. Alison apologizes between songs for not coming out to the tables where they sold AKUS merchandise because she had been sick earlier in the day. By the evening Alison was sounding great, as usual, and her band was playing great as well. I know of one other trader who has this show. This show came in a bad batch of AKUS shows. This is another show with Dan Tyminski and Adam Steffy.

The 1997 show is a real oddity. I'm not sure what this really is, and so I am calling it England, 1997, a BBC 1 FM radio broadcast. These shows are not listed in most databases, at least not in Db.etree.org and Phishhook.org. The 1997 show features a rare Alison Krauss vocal on a song which I am calling Baby of Mine. I think I gave it this name when I created a setlist for it some time back. If you know the proper name for the song, and where else Alison may have sung the song, please tell us so we can all know the proper name of the song. I am sure Alison sang this song for some effort, say a movie soundtrack. She has done this sort of thing for years, and she has been a special guest on the albums of other artists.

Dawgiver is completely welcome and encouraged to participate in this vine. I don't know why the other AKUS vine stalled once, or why the shows then seemed to disappear, but Dawgiver reseeded the vine, and Origapeach is going to create a new vine for those shows once he receives them. I most certainly appreciate the time and effort of all who have helped to keep these vines circulated.

OK, this is a three cdr AUDIO vine. ZEDHEAD is NOT welcome to participate, since it is my opinion that he killed my other AKUS vine. Everyone else is VERY welcome, and I hope you all enjoy these RARE AKUS shows. Please, help me to spread this fine music. Also, I am sending these shows first to BHS72/Donny. He seems to be a fan, and so I want to get the music first to a real fan of this band.

3 cdr audio vine. ZEDHEAD not welcome.

Since I was in the other vine and it died, I'd really like to get this one started.

Count me in for position #1

J Maynard, I am sending the shows first to Bhs72/Donny. You can be number 2. OK?

You see, it's like this, I know a little bit about Donny, and I trust he will copy the show and send them on. I want to get a few shows in circulation in case they "disappear' as the other shows seem to have.

This is some great music, Donny is first, Maynard is second.

Everybody else, Zedhead excluded, please jump on the AKUS train.

Ok, I dropped the AKUS rarities in the mail tonight. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I have. Mostl of the older shows are single discs, unless you got a date with an early and late show. I really enjoy the band banter between the songs on teh 1994 and 1995 shows. Alison and her band have always known how to have fun at their shows.

Also, I hope that Dawgiver signs up for this vine as well. There was a problem with the other AKUS vine, when it stalled once, and a second time when the shows disappeared, but Dawgiver re-seeded the vine, either with discs of his own, or with copies someone else had made. Anyway I have no issue with Dawgiver, and Origapeach has said he will start up the other vine with the reseeded discs. I am not trying to be jerk about these shows, but I am trying to spread some music, and I wanted to insure that the shows were being shared. I hope there are no hard feelings in response to some of my posts in that other thread. There are some who seem to take liberties with the vines when they feel the public eye is not upon them. I hope I have put my AKUS shows far into the spotlight where they might not be stolen.

And I hope track at once copies are not introduced down the line. All three shows are DISC AT ONCE.

ENJOY!!
