I was just listening to Stonybrook and was blown away(again) by"You Don't Love me". The boys should dust off this old version. It's unbelievable.

I would agree. And speaking of Stonybrook, why not bring our friend Blue Sky back at the Beacon too?

yes, the 'Blue Sky' from the 03-21 show last year rocked but whatblows me away is that shows version of 'Can't lose What You Never Had". Right after Chuck' s solo the band just gets into a ferosious groove before Warren's out take solo melts the place.

High Falls, Loan Me a Dime, True Gravity, Kind of Bird, JJ's Alley.

But mostly, a bunch of newly written stuff.

I wholeheartedly agree about new stuff. A nice slow bluesy Gregg tune ,a couple from Warren and another one by Otiel. How about a Derek composition? I also thought a cool way of closing the Beacon run would be a live version of "Little Martha". The only trouble is no one would leave.

Hmmmm, I could picture Gregg going to town on the organ, but I have to say, Warren should sing it....no? AND, it doesn't call for a heavy wild guitar riff, so let's stick Jack Pearson in as special guest for the mellllllow guitar! Jukes horns yes, but IMHO, not Buddy, but The One And Only Wicked Pickett

I'm sure you've heard the bluesy "Whipping Post" slowed down version on "Searching for Simplicity" with Jack Pearson playing it smooooth.......however, he effen' owned it during the Rosemont guest appearance done the original way. I will never forget that encore... I was standing in front row, the band took the stage for the encore and brofan was 3 rows right behind me, the place was SO quiet you could hear yourself breath, Jack filled in for Warren and nobody had a clue what the last song would be 'cause Derek took his guitar first and I had never had a LIVE Whipping Post at any show. All of a sudden Jack came out and stood in the middle close to the end of the stage and brofan immediately knew, and said: "Susie, you're getting your Whipping Post!!!" And what a 24 min RUSH it was . What is the topic again...lol

Bell Bottom Blues would be cool,
I also heard a couple of lovelight teases
this year, pulling out a full blown version
would be fun.....

How about some new material? I think that would be good. Or some new covers at least.

NOBODY KNOWS -- Gregg sings this the way it's supposed to be sung -- it's almost like it's his song even though Dickey wrote it.

Not sure who would sing, but I'd love to hear Warren & Derek play "Back Where It All Begins", so many places for the trading of leads.

I'll second or third that. Plus "Get On With Your Life" would be another good blues number to add in there.

I agree. Warren used to tear it up on this one. Was always a "Warren" highlight for me.

Nobody Knows would be a nice addition.

For a cover song "Drift Away" would be a great song, we could get great singing and playing.
