Since the others have followed the chronology of '70, '71, '72, will the next be '73?

I can guess that they don't want to flood the market, but the customer base can probably handle more than one release per year (look at the Dick's Picks and now Download Series from the Grateful Dead).

Flood the market???? How about this idea. Put out something frm 73 and something from the Duane era and see what sells the best. If it is the Duane era put out Duane era stuff of if it the 73 era sell more 73 stuff. My bet is the Duane era will always sell more.
I don't want to sound mean but if a guy or gal can not afford to buy a couple of ABB CDs a year they are in deeper finacial trouble than $45 will set them back.

D28, we're going to hold you to that, so I hope you're getting your info from a good source.

I'd be interested to hear how many of each of the archive releases have sold so far. Does anyone know if that info is publicly available?

Sure,

and while we're at it, we could ask him what his profit margins are

and his taxable income

and what percentage of sales are cash

you might as well ask Lana her age

some things are better left unanswered

The sales of cds arent' exactly personal information. A company called Billboard used to keep track of such things. They posted records for such things as a matter of fact.

My question is this: who decides what archival release
to issue? The Tour Mystic? Gregg, Butch and Jaimoe?
All of the above plus Bert? Just curious...
