Set list(?)

4. Hot 'Lanta

You can download a part of Done Somebody Wrong from slidejules site.

Taktsang III, in the manner of T'ang Yin and Duane Allman
1988, Acrylic on Silk, 57"x33"

"Taktsang III was the culmination of all the developments achieved in my paintings in Bhutan. The composition was laid down in light color washes in one session. The Chinese blue and green style is referred to, as well as the mineral pigments of Persian miniature painting. The network of calligraphic brushwork took ten months of layering with hand-made brushes. On silk every gesture is recorded and visible. The strokes vibrate with the harmony of T'ang Yin's vision, the intensity of Duane Allman's improvisation, . . . ."

I've got the Fillmore video on DVD. The shirt, well it's been sitting in a box, in a locked fireproof safe, for years. It was taken out for photos with the Anthology album and copies sent to the major auction houses. PS: I don't own it, but a friend does.
Still has sweat stains on it.

PLease, read the line above. It's being looked at by several big name auction houses for a future auction.
I'm not selling it, but a close friend is.

Just recently an excellent brother whom I was extremely fortunate meet through this forum sent me a DVD of Duane era Allman Brothers live material. It includes:

1. The above mentioned material from the 9/23/70 Fillmore show,
2. Done Somebody Wrong and Hot 'Lanta from the 7/21/71 Central Park show
3. A live Delaney & Bonnie tune
4. Mountain Jam from Love Valley
5. Some live material without audio that I am not familiar with. There is some material in which it appears that Duane is wearing the same shirt as he wore at one of the Warehouse gigs. (It resembles a patchwork quilt like pattern) The length of Duanes and Dickys hair is also consistant with that gig. There is however definitely a Fillmore style light show in the background. Does any one here know if the Warehouse used a light show of that type.
6. Finally there is one final cut (also without audio) that clearly shows another guitar player with long white hair and a reverse Gibson Firebird. The only guitarist I know of that fits that description is Johnny Winter. Also this guitarist has the same style of stage mannerisms and movements as Johnny Winter.

I would appreciate hearing from anybody out there who might have any info regarding these cuts. My email is:

marionsindorf.1@juno.com

Should anyone desire a copy of this DVD I will gladly do five BnPs. Sadly being an extremely broke college student I can not afford the postage that would be involved in an even over trade deal. Post a reply counting off to five and either PM me or email me and I will get back to you with my address.

Finally, I sent out the zip files of my picture and article archives recently. One person replied with a reminder that I have promised to mail shows or live material to a few people and that I am remiss in doing so. I apologize. There are a few (Donelson and Marccuchio) that I am aware of. I apologize for not getting in touch with these people with an explanation. The fact of the matter is that in these particular cases, these people are overseas addresses and the postage, sadly, exceeds my current budget. As I said above, I am a broke college student and am having to stretch my finances. If it is any consolation, I have burned the disks and they are in addressed mailers as I type. I will get them in the mail as soon as possible. I am the one at fault here because I made these particular offers without first making sure they were going to a destination that I could afford. As I said, They will get mailed. It is much easier to come up with a half dozen 37 cent stamps than the 4-5 dollars overseas postage.

That said if there is anyone here who resides in the USA (i.e. postage I can afford) and to whom I have promised material by all means contact me and remind me, especially if the transaction in question is a trade by which I have not honored my end of the deal. My life has lately been a little hectic which is certainly no excuse. Given the number of extremely kind and generous brothers and sisters I have been so very fortunate to meet through this web site I intend no dishonor.

Marion

p.s. I have recently reworked and relabelled a number of the pictures in the archives that I have been emailing to people. I know I just sent out the old version, but I have cleaned out as many of the doubles as I could and have acquired a number of new Duane Pictures which were not in the last set, some of which are quite interesting. I of course will be sending them to all the people who are already on my list. If you did not get in on the last set get back to me with your email address and I'll send you a copy (roughly 150 articles and 500 pictures archived into 9-10 zip files for a total 30-40 megs, give or take). I now work in the computer lab at my college so there will be no problems or delays.

Marion

I'll be number 2 on your countdown list.THANKS! PM on the way.

BTW, Duane's wearing the same shirt in the cover pic from Beginnings the rerelease of ABB & Idlewild South. A buddy of mine found a vinyl copy at a yard sale and the double album gatefold cover is great pic of the original 6, far to small to see on the cassette cover I'd had previously.

Hi Marion,

About cuts of 5 and 6, I have the same one and burned into my DVD, also share this in this forum via Vines section. ( anybody need this, please search as keyword of "Another ABB DVD prj. Duane era" )
I think these cuts of ABB and Johnny Winter are from Filmore East by background light show.
If we consider both cuts were recorded at same day, dates can be specified into 3/11 to 3/13/'71.
There were only consecutive 3 days that both Johnny and ABB played at same days at Fillmore East.
I think you already know but please refer to the following link, showlists of Fillmore East.

http://www.fillmore-east.com/showlist.html
