I saw a replay of ringo's performance on Craiig Ferguson and I have to say it was so painful that I could barely watch it.

"you have to pay you dues
to sing the blues
no matter what you chose
chose love"
thats his big chorus with ringo and the roundheads he also defiles a few key beatles songs with lyrics like "the long and winding road is more then a song" oh say it aint so ringo

I thought his new album is decent. Paul still sings Beatle songs, so why can't Ringo add a little beatleness to the Beatle that he is?

It was kind of dumb though when he sat back on the second drumset, I mean they were playing the exact same thing.

At least he quietly makes an ass of himself, I mean, can we get Paul off of the stage - just stop already! Nobody really expected much from Ringo, anyways. Paul, however, spent the 60s reinventing popular music - since then he's been trying to ruin it. Makes you really appreciate the heights the Allmans & co have been able to maintain for 35+ years.

........I agree, quit picking on the Walrus. Have any of you heard Off The Ground and/or Flaming Pie and/or Driving Rain, Paul's output thru the turbulent 90's??? I think Paul most of the time follows his muse just like John followed his.....his contributions to the Beatle Anthologies were decent too..............

Why? Because some of us still love Paul AND Ringo... The rest of you don't have to go to the shows or buy the CDs... Admittedly, I don't like those lyrics either, but I can deal with it because I like the rest of it! So, pretty much, I don't think either of them will stop as long as people like me will keep supporting. I'd much rather have the new Ringo album than most other albums I've heard this year.
