Don't Want You No More

Are there any other recordings than that on the first album?

Thanks

What? I think you need to clarify that question a bit.

They recorded a demo version, together with 3 other songs, which is not officially released but is circulating in the traders community:

Gregg did a version on one of his early solo GAB albums, just can't remember whether it's on I'm No Angel or the second one.

It's on the live albums Peakin' at the Beacon and Wipe the Windows...plus a host of Instant Lives over the last couple of years. Check www.hittinthenote.com for cds with that song on it...

I have not heard their version, but the Spencer Davis Group had done this song, since Davis was a co-writer of the tune. Might be interesting to seek and find, huh?

The original was very `poppy' and had vocals.....
`I'm all hung up on you but don't want you no more'.
Whomever saw this as an instrumental was a stone
genius....like the cat who turned `My Favourite
Things' into a long jam without words.

The original was a "B" side to a Spencer Davis Group single . . . "Time Seller" was the "A" side I think . . . as said previously . . . pretty "pop" music probably driven by the "Top 10" hungry promotors of the time . . . one of my favourite versions of this is actually from the 3/30/69 2nd Coming gig in Jacksonville (ABB minus Gregg)

3/20/70 is a bogus show . . . I think you will find that it is actually the 3/13/70 show.

William,

Just as harvey and Blueskyluver wrote, there are some tradable live version of "Don' Want You No More" is exist.
By some sources, following are the list (only Duane era)

Second Coming:
02/??/'69 Jacksonville, FL

Allman Brothers Band:
05/04/'69 Central City Park, Macon, GA
01/16/'70 Fillmore West, San Francisco, CA
03/13/'70 Warehouse, New Orleans, LA
03/20/'71 Warehouse, New Orleans, LA

Also this one is well known with set list, but I don't heard about of it's existence of recording.
If someone have the real recording of this footage, I'd really love to hear!!!!
6/26/'71 (late show) Fillmore East, NYC, NY

You are able to check the set list of footages above by Set Lists section here.
