Okay, brothers and sisters, I guess it's time to make our plans for Saturday, 8/13, where we will be treated to a generous helping of ABB after a moe. appetizer (or more booze if you don't happen to care for appetizers).

From what I understand, the show is completely sold out (on a whim I checked TM the other day and couldn't even find a single at any price), so hopefully everybody who wants to go already has tickets.

Last year we had our pre-show at the Holiday Inn bar, directly across the street from the venue (we had to make sure Sang would be able to find his way to the show), and that worked out well, but I'm sure other recommendations would be welcome.

So, who's coming?

Now why would we worry about that?!?!

You would be taking your chances at the show, but pants are optional at the Cook County Jail.

(Unfortunately, it wouldn't be your option.)

I'm there, along with my dad.

I still have an extra on the floor if you know anyone who waited too long to get a ticket.

1. TopDroog
2. Me (Lee)
3. Me too (Sandman)
4. Me four (Peter)

I know I didn't make it to Milwaukee, and afterwards I made some facetious pun about eating something bad the day before (the Fourth). I'm sorry to have missed that, because actually, that weekend my car started making horrible groaning and crunching noises, which a simple lube job did not help in the least. As it turned out, once the shop could get to it Tuesday afternoon, while you all were enjoying Oteil or dTb, it took them 5 hours and cost me over--well, let's just say I could've bought many, many, many rounds of brews for the assembled Peachy multitudes at the Milwaukee Ale House!

Not from me, I'm pretty sure you haven't. As it turned out, the sudden car problem was that my left front wheel had a strong chance of falling off between here and Summerfest. I didn't think I'd be a good citizen to let that happen on I-294.

My car's been on its last leg for about a year now (hoping to make it 'till Christmas). You've got to have faith, brother!

And, since you have those repairs out of the way, we'll take those beers in Rosemont.

Droog,
I posted another topic on this. Why not go to Maria's on 9440 W Foster Ave? It's a Mexican Restaurant with a nice, spacious bar. The food is awesome and very reasonably priced. It's about 1/2 block south of the theatre, 1/2 block west of River Road. The drinks are cheaper there than at the Holiday Inn. I'm going to do like last year and park at the River Road "El" station for $1.50. Cheaper than the outrageous $20 at the theatre. The El is about 2 blocks north the theatre. No, I'm not cheap, I just don't like wasting money on parking when it can be much better spent on alcohol.
