It is going to be exciting.

Best tour of the summer.

VS.

Jamchicks I agree moe. is a really good band and they will come out blasting, knowing that they are sharing a bill with the Allman Brothers Band - however, I don't think there is a rock'n'roll band on Earth that can blow away the Allman Brothers Band on a live stage. Maybe Gov't Mule, but even that's a stretch. And Mule can fry moe., as good as they are.

This tour will eb great for the Allmans
Mothers going with daughters
fathers with Sons

All going to witness one thing who's music is better.

I think a lot of new people will get turned on by both bands and I will not be suprised if the Allmans have a change in attitude by the time the second run of moe. dates happen

I seriously doubt moe. will make the ABB do anything other than take the stage and play their asses off. And they do that anyway

bluedad

What is that suppose to mean? The Allman Brothers had a negative attitude to a band they asked to open for them?

Why does there have to be this "competition"? How ridiculous, to me. It's music. I look forward to hearing BOTH bands in VA Beach and perhaps at Nissan...

I commend your love for your boys. I'm sure they bring a lot of youthful energy that can't be denied. Stick around with an open mind and pay attention to how it's done. If they inspire the brothers to greater heights then you are really infor a treat you'll never forget

I have Seen The Allmans around 15 times. I think they are great. Unlike most of you I go see a lot of bands besides Classic Rock bands. moe. I have seen around 75 times and they are on top of their game. They are playing better then ever and will come out blasting their guitars. I suggest you all pick up the Album "dither" it is full of great songs. It got 4 stars in Rollingstone in the same article the Allmans Album (I can not remember the album) only got 3 stars. or check out "wormwood" voted by the community as best studio album or the album "L" also the community voted it best live album. These guys are a hidden Gem and should not be missed, They also won a Jammy for best live set at Bonnaroo.

It is not a contest the best thing about what moe. will bring is that it will make the Allmans have to play harder . moe. willcome out of this tour also Rocking harder then before.

Remember Dickey Betts said "moe. is doing unbelievable things".

Perhaps this is just an attempt to start s*it.........

If you are serious..... Not quite.........You generally have to start by catching the guppy before taking on the whale........

Sorry but IMO, moe may be an interesting band, but any further claims are seriously overstated.......It just sounds ridiculous if you imply that if the ABB are not "on their game", they will get blown away (not likely).

I love moe, but the Allmans will put on the best damn show as always. So will moe, Mike is rich, why the competition?

When moe. have been around for over 36 years and produce a player of the status of Duane Allman AND the greatest white blues singer EVER (guess who) not to mention creating what is acknowleged as THE greatest live album EVER, I'll consider 'em.

Right now they've got about 25 years to go. I doubt they'll even be together in five more years.

I heard the same crap about Phish. Where are they now?

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. You've obviously been smoking SOMETHING.

Not the Mule I've seen lately. The shows I've seen in the last year or so seemed pedestrian, like they were just fulfilling there obligations. I've not seen any improvement. I haven't seen any improvement. And all the ballads and slow covers that Warren sings all sound the same. I'm not bashing them because they're still good, but the moe. I've seen over the the same time period is very good and get's better each time.

As far as the "not a band on earth" comment, you musta missed the Live8 the other day. It would be tough for any band to hold a candle to Pink Floyd on any stage, any night.

I would like to see Moe, I hear they are good. The Allman Brothers are gonna come out and play their set, and I have not seen them not be on in a long time. You all are in for a great show, enjoy.

And the ABB are not a classic rock band, they are The Allman Brothers Band, a classic, but they are the real deal. Just cause we are old you need to realise some of us saw some incredible shows. Some of us remember Jerry when he was not grey. respect your elders and enjoy the show.

Stereotyping all us fans and using a rating system used by authors (probably different ones) from Rolling Stone is not a good way to get your message across...with that said, I've been listening to Dither the last week or so and am looking forward to the show.
Though my prediction be the best part of moe's show will be if warren or derek step out for a song.
