Hey everyone,
I looking for a copy of the Idlewild South out-takes. I believe they're from a liberated bootleg.....

Here is a track listing I found:

One More Ride: Idlewild South Out takes
1. One More Ride
2. Home Jam
3. Little Martha
4. Statesboro Blues
5. In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed
6. Midnight Rider
7. Hoochie Coochie Man
8. One More Ride
9. Allman Jam
10. Instrumental Jam

I'd also like to find the out-takes from the Brothers And Sisters/Win, Lose Or Draw sessions.
Here's another track listing I found:

Alt Takes/mixes from Brothers & Sisters
1. Ramblin Man
2. Southbound
3. Wasted Words
4. Early Morning Blues
5. Come & Go Blues
6. Jessica
7. Pony Boy
8. Jazz Jam
9. Cant Lose What You Never Had (Takes 1 &2)
10. Nevertheless

Any help would be much appreciated - trade or B&P.......
Thanks,
Don

After reading the postings from Denza, Dean & Masahiko, I can see that the "One More Ride" liberated boot is not what I'm looking for - Masahiko's track list seems far more complete and more like a true out-takes disc - as does Dean's Brothers & Sisters/Win, Lose Or Draw demos and out-takes CD.......

I knew that there would probably be variations on those track listings and, obviously, I'd like to find the most complete versions.
I hope someone out there can help us both out, Masahiko......

Just FYI, It's been awhile since I looked into this, but if I remember right, One More Ride is just a mix of stuff, not really Idlewild Outtakes but a crap bootlegger mix. I believe the version of One More Ride was from the Dreams - boxed set. I also seem to remember the part that says home jam ( Come Into My Kitchen > Dyin’ Day Riffs) is from the 1971 Gatlinburg tapes...

Masahiko's looks more like something that might be authentic...but these usually are pretty dubious...

I think this is all I have on my Bros & Sistas...like I said, it's been awhile...

1. Southbound
2. Wasted Words
3. Jelly Jelly
4. Come & Go Blues
5. Jessica
6. Pony Boy
7. Ramblin' Man
8. piano jam

Yes, Masahiko's listing looks like a lot better tracking and Dean's Brothers & Sisters/Win, Lose or Draw demos and out-takes disc looks good too.

I have out-takes from the first album (thanks to Clay) and I have the CaptSkipper remaster of the Gatlinburg tapes - both of which are fascinating pieces of ABB history - I'd like to have these others in the same kind of form and not in some bootlegger's mish mash compilation.......

Thanks for the input Denza, Dean & Masahiko.

I previewed the actual One More Ride bootleg, or one that had the same title, years ago in a record store. The store later was raided by feds or police for selling bootlegs. But before the raid they had that bootleg. I thought it was pretty lame material. The home jam is from the Gatlinburg tapes. One More Ride is on the box set, or a version is. I don't recall hearing a version of Little Martha. Maybe that is a weak sound version taken from the Gatlinburg tape. I think they played the song on that. I guess I need the Skip remaster because I personally can barely hear the conversation and song on my version. Anyway, the bootleg was selling for $25, and it might have been worth $10 at most. But as Denza has said, the bootleg is a mishmash of material. I have repitition on my demo bootlegs. I scrutinized my demos long ago. I have decided that I basically have everthing that circulates, or 98% of it. Some of it is a lot better than the rest of it. Some of the stuff is lame, or it is very much like the released versions. Collectors would rather have hard core raw stuff that is very different from released versions.

If you want to hear something special, get a copy of the Gregg Allman Anthology. I have the official release. There is some kick asss sheeet on that set. Great stuff. Solo acoustic Gregg tracks and band demos.

Gregg's Anthology is great - I bought a copy the day it came out! I liked it so much I bought a couple more copies to give as gifts - then, of course, Gregg had it pulled - I'd never want to lose my copy!
