Ha ha. I figured I'd get some folks to check this post out. I am not any of the above, but I found out what pain really is today.
I go down to my favorite fishing hole at least once a day, sometimes more. It's just to practice and I try out different lures, techniques, etc whenever I go down there.
Well, yesterday I was trying out flipping a Senko, which is a straight tail worm. I pitched it over in some grass and felt the familiar tap, so I reeled up the slack and bam! I stuck the fish.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the only thing that got stuck or should I say stung. As soon as I set the hook about a two dozen fire ants lit me up!!! I have little puss filled bites allover my right foot, I wear sandals. Man, did that ever hurt! Word of warning to anyone who ventures down south. Be careful where you step, it could save you a great deal of suffering.

Sounds like the time I was fly fishiing in shorts (never do that again) and must have stepped on a bank that overhung a yellow jackets nest and they came out madder than hornets (duh!) and must have stung me about 10-15 times in my (bare) legs. I dropped the rod and ran, and then realized I was using my stepfather's really nice Orvis and that I had to go back and get it. So I did and got stung another 10 times or so.

Good thing I'm not allergic or I would have been deader than a doornail.

I once read a story of how a man was fishing on the Congo. When he drew back to cast, his lure hit a nest or "killer bees" causing them to come after him. He escaped by diving into the river where he was eaten by Piranhas.

See a doctor. It doesn't go away for years, can get worse. We found out a really hard way about 20 years ago. I was a passenger going too fast up I 59 in the rain. Driver sneezed, truck drivers that stopped to help said we went end-over-end 5 times. We landed in a nest of the critters. That was the biggest injury.

I once took a pair of jeans off of the clothes line and put them right on. Problem was, there were about ten wasps in each pant leg. Talk about an unpleasant surprise.

As a 11 year old boyscout, I inadvertantly took a wizz on a yellowjackets nest. Obviously they weren't into golden rain and attacked me. The pain was excruciating, but for a while there (thanks to the swelling from the stings) I had the biggest you-know-what in the 6th grade.

That reminds me of a bad joke I heard once. There was this hillbilly(I'm one) kid who came home one day and was all full of smiles and his mother asked him what are you smiling about. He said "Mom, I got the biggest unit of all the sixth graders!" She replied "Well son you ought to, you're 20 years old."

Lefty I am okay, but I have a bunch of little zits allover my foot. ha ha

piacere , yes I did catch the fish, but I bet I looked funny hopping around on one leg reeling it in..!

A couple of nut cases from the "northern states" were in Rose Hill a few summers ago. They were going through Soldiers Square and making fun of the Confederate flag. They were also having fun kicking those little mounds of clay they found scattered between the graves. A few minutes later they were rolling on the ground screaming and were wondering what was causing it.
I told them that you never walk through a cemetary full of Confederate soldiers and make fun of their flag. Their asked what in the hell I was talking about. I had them believing that the red spots was where the soldiers were clawing with their fingernails
to pull them down so they could "Whoop their sorry asses."
I told them the cure was to eat plenty of greens, black eyed peas, and drink only sour mash whiskey. But--I did give them some aloe vera gel to take away the sting.
