Does anybody know the line up for the Phil and Friends shows this coming weekend at the Warfield? I couldn't find anything on Philzone.

Here's the lineup:

Phil
John Molo - drums
Barry Sless - guitar (David Nelson Band)
Al Schnier - guitar(from Moe)
Mookie Siegel - keyboards (from David Nelson Band)

Plus, members from Hut Buttered Rum String Band, sitting in on various songs

No Jimmy.

Looks like Phil is mixing it up a bit.

Hasnt Molo been with Phil since he started the band?? Seems to be the only constant..

Thats a good thing

Maybe Jimmy has previous obligatons...

I don't know if that lineup is correct. Where did you find it? It's not on the Philzone. If it's not there I would assume it's just a rumor.

I'm pretty sure that's it. Mookie was the only one I wasn't sure about, but then I heard about that at the post Ratdog show last month. Molo, Sless, and Al have apparently been set for awhile.

Jimmy's not out or anything, either. He's just not playing these gigs. He says he'll be with Phil if he goes out in the fall for a short tour, which is how it all seems to be shaping up.

The PLQ line with Jimmy, Warren, Rob, and John Molo can never be replaced. That line up had achieved synergistic serendipity in the way of musical exploration and were able to conjure up some of the most spectacular jams I have ever witnesses from any band in my time.

i dont think this is a replacement band. Phil Lesh and Friends in general was meant to be a loose connection of folks who could all do as Phil would ask. Yeah, the Warren/Jimmy/Headband combo was the best by a longshot, but each lineup has had its awesome moments.

I totally agree. And once Phil stopped singing so much, they were great in that department as well. I always thought they were the most musically sophisticated line-up that Warren was in.

Thanks for the help. I was wondering if Jimmy was going to be playing with them or not.

It seems Trey is jamming with everyone these days so I wouldn't be surprised if he pops up with Phil.
