There's one of each; I though a little "grab bag" would be nice - it's always good karma if someone reoffers.

Take your pick of:

1.) ABB - 8/1/96 - some love it, some hate it - True Gravity & Mtn. jam are OK with me.

2.) DB&GS - 3/7/04

3.) dTb - 11/14/03

4.) Lee Roy Parnell - GABBA - 10/10/03

5.) I wouldn't be me without, John Fogerty - HOB - 5/28/97 - "Blue Moon Swamp" (and more ) tour.

PM your addy to me and I'll get them out to you tomorrow - #5, please turn out the lights and close the door.

Why would anyone hate the 8/01/96 show?

Haven't listened in a while but it seems like that and 5/01/96 stick out as being 2 of the best from that year. I don't know why I remember that but I do. I say we let aekdbmoid have THE FINAL WORD on this and get back to us.

1/3 of the final word(s): Almost done with the first disc. Very direct show. If I were going to a state fair, and I were a casual fan of the band, this is EXACTLY what I'd want to hear out of the box. As a more than casual fan, I'd still be pleased, but hoping that the band would stretch out and explore the tunes with some subtlety later on. Great sound, band is tight. All singing voices are in good form. Curious to see if what the jams are like later on.

Thanks for sharing this Bobo--so far, so good!

Second 1/3 of the final word:

I just finished disc 2. True Gravity>Mountain Jam, etc was a nice departure from the "greatest hits" opening. If my wife were with me at this show, I'd be getting pumped, and she'd be in the concession line, thinking to herself for the umpteenth time that no song needs to be half an hour long. Mountain Jam sure isn't what you'd see in 2004 or 05, with a subtle buildup and varied dynamics, but it has some mighty fine jamming. How much coffee did these guys have before going on? These guys are really jumped up. I like the teases towards the end of the jam, particularly Cissy Strut. I'm not a huge drums fan, but I always really enjoy how the band comes out it with a little Latin flavor.
