Two weeks ago tomorrow, our favorite internet sports bar and rock ‘n roll hangout, the KCJimmy Lounge, was closed by the City Fire Marshal. We were a victim of our own popularity. The Lounge had been visited by more people than all but one other thread here on the ABB website. With the huge influx of “Beacon Fever” newcomers, threads just wouldn’t load fast enough. So The KCJimmy was shut down, as was our main competitor, the MT thread and Bowery. Neither of us had a chance to pack up and move, we just watched from the sidelines as the places were torched.

Never one to just sit back and pout, I sat back and pouted.

Then after some power lurking, I was prodded back into action by my good friends and resident Lounge Lizards. So here we are at the new and improved KCJimmy Godzilla Lounge. A brand new place to hang in the trades section. A place for newcomers to find friendship and guidance from some of our seasoned veterans. And they can all get their Dean Long Distemper shots here as well.

In the spirit of the very first KCJimmy more pages turned than necessary thread, we’ll start this off with offers of music, music, and more music.

I will start it all out with a vine for 10, of the Black Crowes 5 disc compilation, “Cover Me With a Beautiful Dream”

Details will be in the next post.

Please quote and paste, adding your name to the list.

Other offers will follow, and I’ll add my address to page one, so future offers don’t need to PM me for my address.

Coming right up are offers by a BUNCH of Lounge Lizards, and some special guests. Please give them about 15 minutes so we can get all the offers up on the board and we can keep them all together on page one.

Please quote and copy their offers as well, adding your name to the appropriate slot.

I’ll drop back in between offer with some freebies as well.

Good luck, remember, wait until all offers are posted, then jump on ‘em.

PixieElf will tell you when to start replying.

Welcome to the new KCJimmy Godzilla Lounge.

Y’all a great bunch!

For any upcoming offers:

Ron Laxton
1376 Lacy Rd.
Skaneateles, NY 13152

Hey all.Wooohooo,new digs.

I'll take 10 people here.No need to do the math to include
in your post.If you want a spot just post for it.Please count off.
Include your spot number with "bigeasy dvd" so this doesn't turn to chaos.

Following is a list of shows, source, date, and size.

Feel free to choose as many as you like to fit on one dvd.

If you don't know 1,000 mb = 1 gig.There are 4.5 gigs of
space on a dvd,so I'll be looking for totals of 4500mb.

These are all in shn/flac format so you'll need to be able

Flaws:

Exact lineage is unknown before it was on cdr prior to the eac extraction. The hiss in this recording suggests that there is at least one or two cassette gens in there somewhere. I ran a slight hiss reduction in the remastering, but removing to much of the hiss would have altered the sonic quality of the overall seed, so a very slight hiss remains.

D1t01: Changes in Latitudes cuts in with the first few seconds missing!

D1t10: Margaritaville cuts in at the beginning and most of the first verse is missing, and then it cuts out again at the end, right in the middle of a verse. AWFUL!!
D2t01: Pirate Looks at 40 cuts in at the beginning. These 2 cuts are absolutely horrible and I considered not seeding this at all due to these horrible cuts. They are truly sinful. But since early Buffett soundboards are impossible to locate, the rest of the material on this recording makes up for the awful cuts in these 2 songs. I split the tracks up so the disc flip would occur in this spot. The cut is not quite as horrible when you need to change discs, but it still sucks big lemon wedges.

Because the cut comes at ~46 minutes into the set, this is likely due to a tape flip on the master, and the taper didn't notice until the tape side was over. Givin the amount of drug references in the songs, I'd be willing to bet the entire crew was wasted, and it's likely that whoever taped this missed the tape flip (to busy doing lines), however, this is purely speculation. The true reason will never be known.

D2T02: Tape flip or other inconsistency a split second before This Hotel Room

Don't let the flaws scare you away. Despite them all, this is an excellent recording of a really good show. Especially good for the era in which is was recorded.

Remastered and seeded to etree by JimmyPhan July 20, 2003
