If there was same topics, I feel so sorry to post this one.

About 10 years ago, I bought bootleg video of ABB Love Valley footage, at Nishishinjuku, Japan.
There are about 15min of "Mountain Jam" and about 10min of assuming "Whippin Post (no sounds)".
I was so stupid that I didn't recognize of existence of title roll in it.
There are name of Kirk West and also Copyright of Allman Brothers Band.
I captured this shot and is as following.

Was there story to release for official?
I am so interesting about it.

Yama-san,
Do you see a "time synchronization clock" running on the bottom of the Mountain Jam portion of the tape? I think this piece was originally prepared for the Allman Brothers
induction to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame about 10years ago....
Hope someday we get to see all of it.....but I'm not holding my breath (yet)

That seems like better quality than the Love Valley Mt. Jam that I have, and I think that other footage is Statesboro Blues, it was used in a music video where that and 1989 studio footage from Sarasota FL. when the ABB got back together (my dad was one of the very few who got to attend). The song played over it is a studio outtake version of Statesboro Blues that would have been on Idlewild South that is now on Dreams Boxset. I really wish someone would take the time to match the sound up with the video!

I wonder if it's a lower-generation source.

Maybe somebody should trade him for a copy.Japan is the bootleg capital of the world and their copyright laws are different. He may have something nobody over here ever heard of.Just a thought.

Judging by Yama-san's description it seems he has the same copy many of us do....
which was preapred for the R & R Hall of Fame Induction.....sure wish all of this would see the light of day (I think there is more of this film out there in private hands in the USA)

BTW - where did you come up with name of "btk"? I hope it's not from recent news...

Hi, BTK! I'm afraid PeachNuTT is referring to something a little less beneficial than the Btk I first thought of:

Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki
"Numerous moth and butterfly larvae and some beetle and fly larvae are susceptible to infection {by Bt}. Formulations of Bt variety kurstaki are available for the control of many caterpillar pests, including imported cabbageworm, cabbage looper, hornworms, European corn borer, cutworms, some armyworms, diamondback moth, spruce budworm, bagworms, tent caterpillars, gypsy moth caterpillars and other forest caterpillars, and Indianmeal moth larvae in stored grain. Less well controlled are corn earworm on corn, codling moth, peach tree borer and squash vine borer.

Hi, Masahiko and everybody!
I have the Love Valley "Mountain Jam" on a bootleg VHS after the Bros' 1970.09.23 Fillmore East appearance.
It's not real high-def, but it's still cool.

Like PeachNuTT's, 3M's, and the rest, mine has that time clock running near the bottom of the frame.
The film was shot at one speed, and the audio was recorded a bit faster,
so the attempt at synchronization goes like this:
1. Start film a bit ahead of the audio.
2. For a few seconds the faster audio is catching up to the film.
3. For one brief, shining moment, the visual and the sound are truly synchronized.
4. The audio rushes ahead of the film for a few more seconds.
5. A cut (aarrggh) is made in the video,
and some frames are omitted (gaaaccckk!),
until the next segment is back at step 1!

So, for every 7- to 10-second snippet of film,
we lose 2-3 seconds!

Nevertheless, better than nothing, and impossible not to agree:
A completely synchronized, uncut production would be too cool for school!
The short bit shown at the RnR HoF induction (which is also on my VHS), is completely synchronized.
It seems like all it would take, with today's digital technologies,
would be a simple matter of adjusting the speed of one or both, the film or the audiotape,
to "concert pitch," as established by Gregg's B3.

Regarding the photo above, which Masahiko has captioned "Jumping Duane!",
this has to be from "Mountain Jam" where Duane (on Goldtop)
kicks the slow, soulful "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" segment
(interesting to compare to the same on Eat a Peach)
into rocking-out mode, a "WCBU" full of exclamatory guitar phrasing
(which the Eat a Peach version doesn't go to--instead, there the band settles back to the "Mountain" theme).
(The video looks clearer than this action shot vidcap.)
It is cool to see Duane getting carried away with it! It makes me want to hunt down this one of the Allman Joys:

Thanks to Donnah , as originally posted in her thread "Some Duane Pics":

Ahha....Nishi-Shinjuku. The mecca of the world's bootleggs. That tiny area breaks every copyright law in music.

Shinjuku has changed quite a bit in the past 10-15 years.

I'm enjoying Wiilie Perkins book .....No Saints, So Sinners- but it looks like there's some bad news in there about the Love Valley video.....according to what WP hears (says so in the book), it seems the Love Valley film masters are gone...say it ain't so....

Umm...I've just realised how little I know and how much more Duane there is out there to find for the truly devoted.

How the f*** any of you guys found VHS footage of the orginial line up is unbelievable.

If you know of any mpegs waiting to be sampled for the more deprived of us, please pass on the details.

Keep up the amazing search.

Hi, Tipster! I don't know about mpegs or other net sources of old ABB, but I bet somebody does.

I got my VHS at a Chicago record store about 6 years ago. It was badly and obviously mislabeled, but I thought it was worth taking a chance. The box claimed 1970 footage (much of the long Love Valley "Mountain Jam") and 1971 Fillmore East footage (it was actually 1970), plus later snippets from the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame induction etc. It turned out to be a good buy!

Wow! There's so many replies!

PeachNutt posted as 2nd footage wothout sounds are "Statesboro Blues".
Why I thought that footage is "Whipping Post", is that Butch beats Timpani at the end of the tune.
As far as I remember, "Whipping Post" is the only tune beating Timpani at the end of the tune.
Also, after the end of tune, all the members go back to the backstage and WP is the last tune
they played at 7/19/'71. (really?)

About bootleg, I have only a few items of ABB Daune era.
Fillmore East video, Love Valley video and last recorded Daune stage "Jamming with Last Night",
also vynil LP labeled "Statesboro Blues" which I have bought about 30 years ago.

Also about the captured shots, they are made by the system write as following.
VHS > video stabilyzer unit with 3D noise reduction function > Canopus ADVC-55 > TFT iMac.
I have made own DVD ( Fillmore East and Love Valley footage coupling ) by this system.
If the quality seems to be good, it was by the video stabilyzer unit wtih noise reduction.
This unit makes the footage much more visible than original bootleg video.
Does someone need the copy of it?

Also followings are the shots from Fillmore East made by the system above.

I feel so sorry of my long bad English post.

Thank you for all.
