The soon to be released European edition (Evangeline Records)
will feature a 5 song bonus disc apparently containing live recordings
from a Radio broadcast of the Riviera Theater concert in Chicago, il.
from 10/22/04!!!
So this is yet another version and not the pre-sale "Deep Ellum Mule"
containing 8 previously unreleased live tracks recorded 4-28-04, Dallas Texas +
track 8 from 4-29-04 Stubbs, Austin, TX.

These are the bonus songs:
Disc: 2
1. Slackjaw Jezebel
2. Thorazine Shuffle
3. About To Rage
4. Perfect Shelter
5. Beautifully Broken

For one reason or another, import versions include extra songs/material.

I have that exact EP from WXRT here in Chicago, who was selling it... It's good! Plus I was at that show.

One reason may be that since the Mule rarely tours Europe, they want to entice new fans and treat older fans? Makes sense to me

I also have read that the reason that a lot of imports add bonus tracks is because the production of CD's are higher, but the cost of royalties is lower. So it's more beneficial for the companies to have insentive to buy a CD, instead of importing the US ones, which they can buy for just as cheap... Plus then it promotes exporting them here to the US and therefore more profit for them. I don't know how true that is... But that's what I've read!
