Wasn't it recorded in October 2004 soon after the ABB/Skynyrd dates and broadcast in December?

Yep, they did the session right after the Fox run. Has anyone seen any pictures from the session? I'm very curious as to how they were set up for the recording.

I think it would've been a pretty normal setup. It was a live gig, there was an audience in the studio and everything.

It was a sweet session. I know Duane and B.O. were mighty proud of their brothers carrying on the tradition.

I especially liked the short interviews between songs explaining how the songs came to be. Good stuff!!

Of course they sounded awesome too

I get a kick out of Gregg saying before Blue Sky, "Never thought I'd see the day I'd be singing this tune."

I was wondering about that. From what I can tell there is no audience noise at all on the recording even at the beginnings/ends of the songs, and usually even a board recording will pick up any audience noise through the stage mics. So was there really an audience there? If so, were they asked to stay quiet? Perhaps they were just friends/family of the band a crew along with some record co execs and other VIPs?

Anyway, I agree that this sounds fantastic, different yet just as energetic and powerful as the original.

That I don't know, but I remember people saying there were maybe 200 people in attendance.

they probably didn't use an crowd mics in the mix.... and most performance equipment is directional..... so you don't bleed in from other sources....

This looks sweet. Anybody have a copy of this to trade?

Does Sirius do stuff like this too?

I've never traded before, but this show is so tempting, I might have to go try to get adopted.

Did everybody listen to this on XM radio? Was it a broadcast only, or is it an available recording?

I was listening XM right after I purchased the service. The first ABB song I heard
was Les Brers. Afterwards the DJ indicated that he was in the audience during the EAP
recording and that he was still had chills the day after. I think that I would have also...
