WOW!! Paul Mcartney was GREAT on the half time superbowl show. Got tears in my eyes at the end of Hey Jude. That man is amazing!!!!!!!!!! What a great performer.

I have to agree with you. Visuals were great, also. Anyone know who the musicians were?

McCartney has CLASS! Great show. Don't know who the other guys were, but Abe Laboriel Jr. is the drummer. And I believe the keyboardist has been with McCartney for a long time...

That was Abe Laboriel, Jr.? Huh. His dad is an amazing bass player, and I had heard that the son was a pretty good musician, too. Yes, I enjoyed that halftime set very much, myself! Great job!

It was a fun show and the pyrotechnics during Live and Let Die were pretty nice. It was cool to hear some listenable music during a Super Bowl. I was also surprised by the sound- you could hardly hear the audience. So it was sort of exactly like you'd just put on a CD, but you could do worse.

I really looked forward to this show and he is SO respected by everyone with The league. Glad to hear him announce his tour starting in Sept. to Nov. Can't wait! His band he has been with for several years now is Abe who you are aware of as drummer, Rusty Anderson who has played on albums of various bands such as Courtney Love. He has a rare collection of Gibsons but tonight I think he had his '59 Blonde 335 and even played slide on "Drive my Car" in which The Beatles had no slide in that tune! Brian ray, the blonde guy also plays guitar or bass when Paul plays Guitar or piano. Extraordinary musicians, and that is why he's touring with them again. I never remember the fill-in keyboardists name, but probably will in the middle of the night lol. (hate when that happens)Ironically, tomorrow, Feb 7,1964 marks the 41st anniversary of the fab 4 landing in the USA and changing everything in our music and arts culture! AHH, Wix Wickens is the 4th musician that tours with him but all I saw was the back of that guys head on keyboard so I'm not sure if it was Wix! I knew eventually the name would come to me lol!I highly recommend the tour. What you saw tonight is NOTHING compared to his Superb, High Energy Concerts!

i definitely enjoyed paul's performance, loved the song selection, and do plan on seeing the tour. is he releasing a new album or something, because last time he toured it was in support of his new album.

My stinkin' mother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter and wife seemed to be talking thru the entire performance!
Eventually my wife noticed I was cupping my ears, and turned up the volume and sort of quieted down the people for a bit...

Anyway - great performance from a class act performer, substance not flash for a change.

Didn't Paul also play a bit of the halftime during the Super Bowl after 9/11?

How could anyone not like Paul McCartney or his music?

The man is an icon. I agree with Marley about the pyrotechniques on LALD.

AWESOME Super Bowl halftime show....for a change!
