For those of you who stayed up to watch the show, like myself, you realized that while it is a neat thing to have our Mule on TV, there is not too much to be seen unfortunately. The house band plays into and out of commercials and that's about it. Maybe 5-8 seconds of each song are actually heard/seen. So if you were lucky enough to be at the actual taping of the show, you saw a whole lot more of Mule than us TV viewers. Here's a bit of a "setlist" for the show, if you want to call it that...

1. Thorazine Shuffle Tease, show intro
2. (Random Blues Song, couldn't identify)
3. Lola Leave Your Light On
4. Trane
5. Bad Little Doggie

I agree. It was interesting, but strange to see them doing tiny bits!

That show was such a teaser!!
I can't get my Mule fix on a couple of seconds here & there!
Way too little of the mule....
Way too much of Robert Downey Jr!

I've been tempted to stay awake for the show, but with these meager playing allowances I believe I'll pass.

If anyone had ever seen even a segment of this show before, you would have know what to expect from the house band. Maybe I'm the only person who has seen the show before. It's obvious that very few here watch it, and that's...ok. I just couldn't see what all the hype was around here the last week or so. Some seemed to think that they were gonna play a whole set or something, I dunno. As far as Robert Downey Jr. , I really enjoyed his segment and thought his performance was pretty good.

I knew what to expect,& it was exactly as I expected. It's always set this way for house bands on TV shows. The excitement for me,is just being able to see them at all on TV,& knowing that the band is getting more National exposure.....Maybe I'm just fired up about seeing them on the 18th in Memphis...LOL....I'm just glad the MULE is "Having It's Time"....& it's about time,IMHO ....

Thoughts:
1.)When Downey was introduced, Mule played a verse of Ray Charles' "I'm Busted." Funny stuff.

2.)Downey's musical spot was pretty terrible, both lyrically and vocally. My .02, Don't quitcha dayjob, Robert.
