I've been to some great shows at the Chicago Theater. Last year, the Allman Brothers Band only had shows out at the Rosemont Theater. Does anyone know if they will ever return to the Chicago Theater?

Yeah, I was getting all ready to do my happy dance. Rosemont Theater was okay, though.

I think the Chicago Theatre changed hands again last year. They do have some concerts showing up on the schedule. Lyle Lovett, Jill Scott, Alicia Keyes, Widespead Panic for three or so shows in April. Maybe the boys will be back this summer.

RMcNally, what a nice venue! I haven't been in there since Jeff Beck in 2001.
ChicagoFan, I hadn't heard about the theater's changing hands again, but I'm not saying it's impossible; see link below. That'd be cool if they get the ABB in there.

I don't know, John, but the waitress will be (un)happy to spill your beverage by trying to set it down on your friend's camera in the dark.

WOW...this place is beautiful! I have never been to this theatre. But, it is on my list of places to visit. I'm just waiting for the right thing to come along & tickle my fancy.

Your first Berghoff Dark is on me, UncleJon.

And I'll keep some cheese in my pocket in case the other John finds some fries.

Just out of curiosity, was anyone at the 6/22/02 ABB Chicago Theatre show, and if so, did you see that big fight that broke out between set breaks? They even had to replace seats!

That Sang and Lee can be quite unruly at times.

That fighting may have been over those cancelled pre-sale tickets.

It is is a beautiful place..one of the most beautiful theaters in the country. However, a word to the wise....DO NOT SMOKE in there.

Take it from someone who knows......
