Now that's a festival!

Florida in April sounds pretty good...

Timing is everything. I just walked back into my office to catch up on some reading.
You can fly into Tampa 2 1/2 hr. drive. Jacksonville 1 1/2 hr. drive Tallahassee 1 1/2 hr drive or Gainesville 1 hr. drive. Gainesville is a small airport and unrealistic to fly into. You would have to stop in Tampa, Tallahassee or Jacksonville 1st before you flew to Gainesville.

Are you sure you want to leave the cold north to come south?

I'd love to have everyone down here get together on my home turf for a show!!!

If there is a group that is interested in coming south, I'll work to put a plan together on this end.

Terri,

I would suggest cashing those US Airways miles ASAP before they go belly up for good. They deserve to. And I bet they ask the governement for a handout.

After surviving that debacle at the Philly airport on Dec. 23, I will NEVER fly that airline again.

Oh, and make sure you bring a carry-on...if you check anything you may never see it again...

Well, Matt

That might be a good topic for discussion when I see you at the end of the month.

Looking forward to it! Both the GA & Friends show and the discussion of "The Wanee Festival"

Luckily Rich, I've used two free tickets so far. One was to Atlanta for the Fox Run. That's why I asked which airport as I'll probably cash them in very soon. I've heard stories that even if I do that it might not be worthwhile anyway, but it's worth a try.

I flew out of Phila. on 12/24 to Michigan and I felt fortunate to have had my luggage "lost" for only 24 hours. It was delivered 1 1/2 hours from the airport I flew into (Grand Rapids) on Christmas day.

This is my first post. I am a newbie. Love the Brothers though. My brother just called me today and said he talked to the guy that books shows at Suwannee. They just confermed that the Brothers will be playing. Can't wait.

We only live once and lifes too short, so if we're truly going to be responsible adults, the only thing to do, is to make sure we see as much great live music as we can, before our time is up. Bring on Florida!!!

I heard about this a while back and it has finally come true. Butch was working on this 5 years ago. All my favorite bands an hour from my house!

I am in Tallytown and have been to the Spirit of Suwannee many times if you have any questions.

This makes me feel so much better since I can't go to the Beacon.

I would fly into Jax first and my second choice would be Tallahassee and then Atlanta airport is only about 4 hours away.

And it's about an hour on 75 from Gainesville (where I went to school at UF, Go Gators!!), so that's the closest airport...although as someone stated, it's tough to fly in. I live in memphis and we're a Northwest hub, and now we have direct flights to G'ville, so if you're close to Memphis you should be able to fly direct.

You can also fly into Valdosta which is about 20 min. away. It is a small airport though and only flys connector flights to Atl. so you would have to go there first.

I can only imagine how many people are expected to invade Florida!
