I wanted to let the good folks on this website know that we only have about 50 issues left of the RECORD SELLING last issue of Hittin' the Note. It has the Mule on the cover and a review of Deja Voodoo inside. There is also a review of Chuck Leavell's new bio - Between a Rock and a Home Place, and article on Gram parsons, MOFRO, Tom Dowd, Ray Charles and the Georgia Jam (I was there, crushed about 20 feet from the stage - the whole crowd could just pick you up and move you!).

I would rather this family have first shot at the few we have left... just go here:

http://www.hittinthenote.com/current_issue.asp

Thanks to all you subscribers and buyers of this off the shelves of Borders, Barnes and Nobel, Tower Records...and numberous colleges and independent music and magazine stores - it is our fastest sell-out ever!

This was a great issue...it helped me rediscover Gram Parsons and his timeless music. If anyone here on the site has not picked up this issue...please do so. You will not be disappointed.

HTN ROCKS!!!

We also owe you a Fox poster! We are wondering if the longshoremen in NYC hijacked our issue?! Please PM me when you get it OK?

I would not be surprised, however, if several boxes
of the issue are `found' just in time to be put on
sale at the Beacon.

That sounds like a pretty rude thing to say, Darryl. I know HTN still gets for one sold out issue, I think it's #25, and they haven't magically "found" any copies at all.

Greg- it's available at some Borders and B&Ns, mostly in the South I think. You'd have to check at yours to see if they have it. And of course, you can bug them if they don't.

I was pleasantly surprised to find HTN in the Vernon Hills Barnes and Noble, Marley. If they have it there, they probably have it closer to the city, as well.

I'm very excited about the next issue - it will be the "Beacon" issue so there will be more articles on the ABB family related bands than normal. It should come out in early February and, on the heels of our well selling issue #43, number 44 will be in every Barnes and Noble throughout the land! Yep - we've been picked up by the whole chain!!!

JNB... certainly will do.

Looking forward to the mag and the poster !!

If they dont arrive by Beacon time, i'll have to pick up my goodies personally. Were you at the HTN table last year ?

It wasn't my intent to be `rude', pretty lady...I'm just
suggesting that the HTN staff has probably set aside
some issues to be sold at the Beacon for non-subbers
and Canadians like myself...HTN isn't sold anywhere in
Canada, to my knowledge.

I've been wanting to subscribe, but it appears that you have to buy an archive release to do so. That's cool,if you can afford it,i guess.......there's no other way????

Thanks,Marley, that's the pg. i go to every time. But all I see is this...
FOR NEW USA SUBSCRIBERS ONLY - 1 Year for only $16 with the purchase of any of the archival release CDs (Stonybrook, Macon) through Kid Glove Enterprises, Inc. ..I don't see a way to subscribe, other than that. I must be over-looking something.....

Hmm, maybe you're right. The thing to do is call the Kid Glove office and ask.
