I think about mundane stuff such as this since music is life. But listening to a nice '99 Phish gig and right after a rippin' fluffhead encoring with

while my guitar gently weeps

i just love that. i'm sure i could think of so many more. Jimi's 1983:a menman i should turn to be strikes me as poetic too.

any of you music gurus out there have one?
just curious and hope you all have a real nice and safe holiday.

I love early Dylan song titles - especially when they have nothing at all to do with the lyrics...

"Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues"
"Fourth Time Around"
"From A Buick 6"
"Ballad Of A Thin Man"

etc, etc...

How about this one from Pink Floyd (from Ummagumma):
Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict

IT TAKES A LOT TO LAUGH, IT TAKES A TRAIN TO CRY

Of course the all time song title Hands Down has to be Pink Floyd's...

"Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict"

Not even close...

The Electric Prunes - "I Had To Much To Dream Last Night".
Frostbit Blue (NY barband) - "Sweet Mary Jane"
Rolling Stones - "Sympathy for the Devil, Starf*cker, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Suck On The Jugular"
Neil Young - "Unknown Ledgend"
ZZ Top - "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers, Pearl Necklace, Tube Snake Boogie"
Zappa - "Penguin in Bondage, Pygmy Twylyte"
Steve Miller - "Dance, Dance, Dance"
Genesis - "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway"
Syd Barrett - "Effervescing Elephant"

Now that I see my list, i'm torn as to whether these are the "coolest" titles or just "oddest". Oh well.

leave it to you pros to not only reply and give your 2 cents but to come up with some great ones.
the zappa titles made me think of his album "ship arriving too late to save a drowning witch" with a cool, simple line drawing to represent that. it's a really great idea as usual for frank.

thanks for indulging me, abb fans! and all of you have a fantastic 2005
