I wish. I was hoping they would make one from the Fox Theater or Red Rocks this year.

Wishful thinking. Any DVD that comes out would be basically the same as the One Way Out DVD, possibly with a few new covers but that's about it. Now a limited-availability archive DVD, THAT would be cool.

In the meantime, you got the Grateful Dead movie, Clapton's Crossroads DVD, and Dickey's new DVD coming out sometime in the middle of next year. Oh, and possibly a new dTb album.

Bring a camera to the Blind Pig in Augusta on January 13 (Thurs.) and I bet I can obtain some tripod position somewhere nice in the club.

I love the 2003 Beacon DVD. Yeah, a Derek Trucks Band DVD is long overdue. Maybe they will make a new DVD at the 2005 Beacon run.

That's not true. There's plenty of songs that weren't on the Beacon dvd.:

Wasted Words
Stand Back
Mountain Jam
Every Hungry Woman
Trouble No More
Done Somebody Wrong
Hot 'Lanta
Hoochie Coochie Man
You Don't Love Me
DWYNM>NMCTB
Stormy Monday

Then there's the covers:
Layla
WDLGTBSS
Franklin's Tower
Into the Mystic
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down

There's a bunch more that I missed too.

Peach is actually right, there's so much stuff that they didn't catch from 2003. I'd really like to see a new Allmans DVD sometime soon. Maybe a little something from this year's Beacon run, the two Red Rocks shows, or the Fox Run, those'd be choice!

OR, I'd like to see them do something like Jimmy Buffett did in Minimatinee #1, a collection of shows from the tour. Here's what I'd like them to do:

Layla (7/3 @ George, WA)
Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad/Franklin's Tower (7/9 @ Morrison, CO)
Midnight Rider (8/20 @ Gilford, NH)
Mountain Jam (8/21 @ Mansfield, MA)
Dreams (9/25 @ Atlanta, GA)
The Sky Is Crying (10/9 @ Houston, TX)
One Way Out (10/11 @ San Antonio, TX)

It's possible!

I think an Instant Live thing with DVD's would be awesome. They could just tape whatever you see on the screen at the shows and then send them to 'cuz it'd be kinda hard to give you a dvd within 45 minutes.

It might be cool if the had vintage footage mixed in with todays concert footage. So you can see a Duane era Dreams and then todays version.

I like the idea of a best of 2004 dvd from different shows. I'd buy it fo sure

AND Festival Express. Make sure you see this film. There is a scene with Rick Danko, where he and Janis are sitting next to each other singing while Jerry and Bobby are playing guitar. Rick is more wasted than anyone I have ever seen in my life. I laughed hysterically and had to keep rewinding it to watch over and over.

Another great scene, they realize that they're out of liquor on the train, so they pool some money together. They spend over $800 on liquor! Do you realize how much booze that would have bought back then? Great stuff. It would be awesome if someone could pull this off today.

Isn't there some kind of DVD included with The Family Secret?

There's definitely not going to be a 2004 tour DVD- there would have to have been crews and cameramen and stuff on hand at the shows.
