I have a Jerry Garcia Action figure.

Displayed on my front Foyer table.

Do I qualify?

I dig the music but I have seen Phil more times than Jerry in person.
but I've seen The (Greatful )Dead more times than Ratdog.
But Phil Lesh and Friends are my favorite Dead spinoff.

I have both the DVD-audio surround mixes that Mickey Hart re-mixed.

But I have way more live ABB than Dead shows.

Can I still be in your club?

Peace
John

I don't know if I would considered a dead head or not. I've got about all of the old LPs, and about half of all the CDs that are out right now.

There are also Lots more who ARE big fans including myself. I would most definitely call myself a Deadhead. I saw about 100 shows - most of them between 1979 and 1992 so I guess I would qualify. I have always considered The ABB and The Dead my 2 favorite bands - equally. They both are the 2 bands that take me to that special place that only THE BEST can do. They obviously have the same attitude and play "in the moment" which is/was the key to their success. Both bands draw on lots of different influences and both can improvise on the spot and stretch 'em way out. They also are about as real as music can be - always pure and always only about the music. They have also influenced more bands than we can count. For me it will always "smell like a Rose and taste like a Peach"...

On the weegy board Jerry told me that there are people in the sun that control everything. It makes sense. The sun is real hot so we can't get to them.

Mickey sucks at singing Fire. Warren shoulda sang it this summer.

I'm a fan. My friends took me to my first Dead show last year with Willie the Dead and Moe... stood front row the whole day.. best time ever. However, they were overly obsessed wannabe deadheads... yea so the story goes on. I listen to the dead a lot, I don't have many cd's though... I don't think I have any Studio Dead cd's, only live shows. The only thing I dislike about the dead, is these overly extended Jams which last forever. If you're in the right frame of mind, sure it's awesome . I think the Dead could play one song for the whole show
