I finally just picked up the Stand Back Anthology. I am not too familiar with the late 70's -early 80's stuff but this song is HORRIFING!!

What was Greg thinking?

As we all know Sonny was one hell of a rocker before he met Cher!

I would say "Just Ain't Easy" is one of Gregg's top 10 songs. I love it.

I like that song a lot (like most of the songs from "Enlighted Rogues".
I even posted an appreciation thread prior to last year's (or the year before)
Beacon Run and hoped they rediscovered that song.
Well i hope it will return on the setlist (every now and than) in the near future
( and "Pegasus" too !!! A great instrumental !!!).
Gregg's vocals are outstanding on that album although most of the material
is penned by Dickey Betts.

Are you sure you are talking about the right song? It Just Ain't Easy is easily one of Gregg's best tunes. I'm not sure, but isn't Enlightened Rogues pre-Arista? The Arista years were Brothers of The Road and Reach For The Sky. Man I hate it when people don't get their facts straight and I hate it worse when people are just trying to stir things up. I love music especially ABB music.

What he said.

I consider Enlightened Rogues one of the Allmans classic recordings. A great album. It is not one of the Arista albums. It was the Allmans last record for Capricorn, and the producer is the great Ton Dowd.

I always liked "It Just Aint Easy", as well as lots of others on that record. "Blind Love" on that record is nothing less than amazing. I would love to hear the current group do that one, Pegasus, and 2 or 3 others from Elightend Roques.

Of course, everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

I'm not sure exactly who's being referred to here, but I seriously doubt Wharfy was trying to "stir things up". He's allowed to express an opinion. Additionally, he made no reference to the Arista years. Eddie did, and only to make a play on words with the song title. Take a deep breath, everyone.

I don't think he was trying to stir anything up. He was just stating an opinion re: a song he doesn't like. Wanna talk about Rocking Horse?

Oh, and I think I can speak for Wharfie when I say he also loves ABB music.
