I've never been to an ABB show where's there's been instant live cds for sale, I figured they'd be a popular item after the shows but the $$ they're getting on ebay surprised me:

and this one...

Dang. Even the shipping on the Rosemont show is outrageous. I have an extra Saturday I was gonna give my StepDad...

This is completely insane. I cannot believe anyone would pay that much money for a recording. Especially considering all of the shows are captured by tapers and readily available. The Instant Live shows sound good, but I will take an audience copy any day of the week. Maybe I am a little partial since I am a taper, but those kind of asking prices are insane. Not to mention it underminds the purpose behind allowing live recordings of shows.

$200 for a show that was just released really shocks me. But I learned years ago when I stated collecting baseball cards, the value of a "collectible" such as baseball card, old toy, or record has no real "value" other than sentimental.

Its value, or "worth" is in what someone is willing to pay for it.

Wow. $188.00 for one show (Rosemont).

And, just in case anyone noticed the Clockwork Orange connection in the name of the Fox show seller, that definitely isn't me, folks.

Peace.

$188 for the Rosemont show is ridiculous under any circumstances, but when you consider that you'll be able to get it from hittinthenote.com for $25 in a few months, it becomes downright stupid!

I will say this: If it is possible for a recording of a show to be worth $200, then Sunday's show at the Fox would definitely qualify!

Both sellers are claiming limited editions. Limited to how many they can sell. Rosemont show is available on instantliveconcerts.com while either Rob or JNB has said they will have the Fox shows @ HittintheNote.

I'm not familiar enough with ebay. Is there a way to contact the bidder to tell him about instantliveconcerts.com. Can he withdraw his bid?

The guy selling the whole Fox weekend is probably the same guy that bought 30 on Sunday. Did any of you see big purchases on Friday or Saturday?

"E-Bay" is a Latin word meaning that somewhere, somebody will pay a $hitload of money for almost anything. The instant lives are worth their weight in gold, but get 'em at the shows or from Hittin the Note.

When my cousin graduated from High School, he sold some, though not all, of his comic books and bought himself a new (1985) Mustang. There's money in collectibles, no doubt.

How long after a show can you get an instant live, or do you have to get it right then and there at the show? I'd like to get a copy of the Saturday Fox show.

Instant Live sets are available immediately after the concert, or 20 minutes or so.

The eBay action defeats the whole IL purpose. Kid Glove should release a limited run of the IL shows, with enough supply in the pipeline the eBay whores will be left holding the bag.

Kid Glove does just that. Sometime this fall, after the tour is over with, all of the ABB ILs will be available thru Kid Glove. Nothing we (or you) can do if people are silly enough to spend outrageous amounts for shows they can soon get at affordable prices.

Are they really "Limited to 600 copies"? I was under the impression they'd sell one to everyone in attendance if they wanted one. Or is that how many they actually sold?
How many people does the Fox hold?

I imagine they come with a very large number of CDs and burn enough to meet the orders they've collected before and during the show, with some extra for people who show up late. But I'm just guessing.

I found one website saying 5000.
