Listened to Pegasus and Nobody Knows today for the first time in while. Just amazing songs. How I would love to hear the ABB whip these chestnuts out again!!!!

Dickey and Great Southern do Nobody Knows. There's a better chance they'd do Pegasus than the ABB, I guess.

I'd love to see the ABB to Kind of Bird.

What album is From the Madness of the West from?

Ooooh Don't even go there...It should have been called "From The Sadness of the 1980's" from "Reach For a New Decade"...
My apologies to Mike Lawler...

If it wasn't for the background singer Keith (my hero), the ABB woulda been nothin' but a bar band in the 80's.

BRING BACK KEITH!!!

As much as I love Nobody Knows, neither of these songs are likely to be revived by the ABB.

Let's focus our energy on something more constructive and achievable, like getting the band to start playing True Gravity again! If we all hold hands and think REALLY hard....

...and "Kind of Bird" Rob...since it was co-written by Warren and he has played it many times with The Mule it does have a real chance of making iot back into the rotation along wit Gravity. Ok lets join hands for a moment...

True Gravity! Amen! Wasn't it even co-wriiten by Warren?

I want to hear JJ's Alley -but then again, I might be expecting it to sound just like in 1999 with Derek and Dickey, and that would be an unfair expectation.

But...just adding in my pipe dream...

Another vote for Nobody Knows and Pegasus. They were mind blowers in concert!

The liner notes to Seven Turns list True Gravity as Betts/Haynes. That's one reason why I feel it would be a better and/or more appropriate instrumental than something like Elizabeth Reed, which is "Dickey's song" and one of his signature tunes at that.

The other reason is that it kicks ass!!

Just think of Otiel hammering out that bassline, and then Warren and Derek jamming over it. What a great thought.

Love to hear TG and NK - I think Warren and Derek would shred both those tunes. I can't imagine getting a JJ's Alley from the ABB, though - it feels and sounds like a Dickey tune all the way.

Well, I love both "True Gravity" & "Kind of Bird" and I think this lineup with NAIL both. But I think "Kind of Bird" has a chance of going into all kinds of new directions with Oteil & Derek. Both have that jazz edge, that I think that song could just take off with. I'd love to hear "True Gravity" too, but the ABB had previously already taken that song to some amazing places, both in 1990 & 1996. Great stuff. I'm really surprised we haven't heard those come back. - Actually I'm pretty surprised on how little of all that great 90's ABB material has been missing from their shows lately.

Absolutely! The thing is, this lineup is so good they could NAIL "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and make it sound like THEY wrote it!

That's funny, I liked the ABB version better than the one Dickey recorded.

I think Nobody Knows was almost built for Derek and Warren. Bring it on. Who cares who wrote what. They didn't write Dixie either or Layla. Just play good tunes. Pegasus would really take me by suprise live.
