OK I love the “Do the right thing” attitude. I love to support the ABB and don’t mind paying for their stuff. CLEAR CHANNELLY their IS a problem here though. If these releases are like the Archive Releases then the ABB gets the same cut whether you buy them at the show or from Kid Glove or from the Comic Book store that CC links you to if you want to purchase past shows. Problem is nobody has them NOW.

Speaking for myself I want to listen to them NOW. If I could buy them ALL NOW I would be in trouble. I’d buy more than I could afford, and remind my loved ones to buy the rest now while available for my upcoming Bday. I’d have to get every one somehow, but I want to hear them now and they aren't available now unless somebody copies them and sends them to me because CC isn’t bright enough to see that the damn things sell for $150.00 bucks a pop on ebay which might indicate there is a higher demand than supply.

If they would Print enough to begin with and make them easily purchased right away they would sell WAY MORE of these things and it would be good for everyone. As it is some creep can go to a show, buy the discs, sell them $150 on ebay after making a copy and our Band and the geniuses at C.C. walk away with around $11.00 each assuming there is some cost involved in making the things. The creep got his evening paid for in full and walked away with at least $50.00.

My solution:

If you want to support the ABB copy your Instant Live shows, and send them to me at

C.C.SUXX
1105 E. Pineview St.
Olathe, KS 66061

And for Every Date I receive I will multiply it times $11.00 and send a Check to Bert Holman made out to the ABB with a nice letter explaining that I am sure the anonymous people that sent the discs didn‘t realize it was wrong..

Now he can do what ever he wants.

1. He could nominate me for induction into the Honest Guy Hall of Fame. (doubtful) but he could still cash the check.
2. He could laugh at me, but still cash the check. (possible)
3. He could just cash the check and THANK ME for doing the right thing.
4. He could rat me out to C.C. and demand that I turn over any evidence that would lead to capturing the ones responsible for him getting a cut of what C.C. is in essence screwing him out of by not printing enough in the first place. (Probably what he is legally obligated to do, go figure?)

But I pose this question. If I get 1 show and send him $25 how hard is he gonna hunt them down to give them their share. Why should he? I did all the work! I SAY LET’S FIND OUT!

Because of the ABB record deal with Sanctuary, there is a limit to how many instant lives can be printed.
Too much IL could harm sales of the Peach Records stuff on Sanctuary.

You seem to miss this fact , KCJimmy

Or can you not grasp the concept of a limited release?

Peace
John

Only thing I'm missing is the opportunity to purchase something that will likely get sent to me before I have that opportunity to purchase it, unless I want to let the creep profit on ebay. Last year I set up trades for for 3 shows and got I.L.s i didn't even know existed. Now I ask you when it happens this year should I keep the money or forward on?

My solution to the Instant live problem posted above took some thinking but it works. Now the ebay thing is a no brainer to me and I have explained it before. SOMEBODY, ABB, C.C., Kid Glove, or th comic book store puts 5 or 10 copies aside of each show. Put them on ebay with a “BUY NOW” deal of $35 and they will sell fast, whoever does it will make a little more money for their trouble but the bulk of it goes where it is supposed too.

I will add that I don't know what their contracts say but anybody that wants to buy an I.L. from a show they didn/t attend probably already owns the other commerial releases. I own every single one of them. 16 versions of Filmore East and I am offering them more of my money. They don't have the product and I am willing pay them more than they lilkely got from the original deal for a CDR copy because of a lack of supply.

Based on their record of NOT screwing with ebay people i bet they would be fine with my suggestion or least not care.

I doubt very much that the copyright holders "don't care" about your suggestion to break
copyright law.

Peace
John

I can't argue with that but I'd still like to hear those shows so my offer stands.
