I was wondering if the Instant Live CD's that are being sold at some of the shows can be freely traded? Many of the shows are only available for a short time from Instant Live and never are offered on the website.

What is the general concensus?

Should trading these discs be postponed until after the '04 Instant Live releases (the ones that will be sold on the website) are announced?

as your name puts it
No where , man
consider these to be released from the band
and not for trading, bartering or sale
I do believe there are websites where IL Cd's can be purchased

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the original discs can be sold (used CDs are bought/sold all the time in CD stores and on ebay), just not copied then sold.

Does she fish, can she cook, will she beat the hell out of me while I sleep if I
stay gone for three or four days at a time without telling her where I'm going?

Steve, they are excellent, got the Sat. Great Woods and Sun. Oakdale shows. The next one is tonight at Jones Beach. The list is at instantliveconcerts.com

I've checked the Instant Live website but can't find any of the '04 shows for sale on their site. I've got both the Tweeter Center and Oakdale shows on Instant Live but how the heck do you get the cd's if you don't go to the show (other than hoping someone that attended will sell one on eBay)?

I'm all for buying them as long as they are made available.

The shows generally show up on the IL site for sale within a month of the show date.

Here's another hypothetical question:

What if the tapers are there to record the show and the Instant Live people are there also. Is the bootleg tradeable?

I've traded audience recordings. I prefer to listen to the copy Bill Pafford taped at Pittsburg last year than the instant live. He had a great location the guitars sound like they are in your living room.

Yes AUD recordings are allowed (so far) at ABB shows even when Inst Live is recording. Of couse this may vary by venue. All that I have read on the subject suggests there the AUD's are tradeable even if official InstLive SBD are available for purchase. Fast43 is right on about Bill Pafford's recording from Pittsburg last year. It's one of the best of the year.
