thiefs have turned out to be. It seems that they are breaking into cars, or, homes, and stealing ABB shows

Coincidence? No, I don't think so. Must be a vast winged conspiracy to deprive folks of their most valuable possessions, after their families

Cheers

And since the ABB show in Bird's country was a bit wacky, we could have a new movie:
"The Montana Candidate" starring anyone we suspect

Cheers

Man I would never steal anybody's Brothers. Thats almost sacred. Now if I saw a good picture of Britney on a Jewel case in someones car I might be tempted to steal the case but I would leave the disc ahhhhhh........ nevermind

I always have a bunch of CDs in my car but if you put them in the passenger seat and cover them up with trash from fast food resteraunts nobody will mess with them, unless of course they are hungry and looking for food. I hadn't though of that. I bet dirty diapers would work, nahh could be problems with that too. Best stay home and listen to music and let somome else do the runnin.

Hmmmmm, Marley is leaving NWU soon----better warn them to lock up their ABB shows, or, they may end up in another state

Yeh, why did you say it that loudly

Cheers

Actually I'm done at NU now. I'm still living in Evanston, working at the alumni magazine.

One solution- go back to cassettes or better yet 8 track tape? (Punks these days don't even know what an 8 track IS!)

Interesting you should mention that. This past weekend at Red Rocks, someone broke into our car and stole all my cd's that I have collected over the past four months, leaving me with two discs from my collection. It SUCKED really bad and put a buzzkill on an awesome show that I just saw. Now I got to start trading all over again. Don't understand why someone would just take my cd's and nothing else that was in the car.

peace
jon

PS any help to restart my collection would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jon

Actually, I saw your post and it inspired me to this thread----not sure, but are folks selling used and homeburned cds for drugs, booze, et al? I noticed that more and more folks are reporting this trend---I just wonder how much a dime bag costs in cds?

If you go to my convoluted website, pick one of the ABB shows I have on cd and send me your address.....not sure that I may have a replacement for any particular show, but let me know

Cheers

Carlos "maybe biometric cds would be a good start for our future collections" Rivera

I'm interning with the magazine three days a week, so whether it's a real job is under some dispute. But there are some big things brewing, I'll tell you that.

If you can't do anything with a NU degree in Journo you should give it up. Consider yourself lucky to have it. There better be things brewing.

What I meant was that I went to a University where journalism wasn't even a major. It was a barely there, small room "program." It sucked. In the 1988 presidential election I took it on my own to cover it for the school newspaper. I figured out various ways to get one-on-one exclusive interviews with the candidates at that time as they came through Ohio-Jesse jackson, Gov. Mike Dukakis-the Democratic nominee- and then-governor William Jefferson Clinton. I took the audio tapes back to my professor and played them for him and he couldn't believe it. He asks me how I did it, how did I pull it off? Well, with a fake press pass and some moxie. I asked him, "Shouldn't you be telling me how to do it?"

In other words, NU has a GREAT Journalism school with a fanstastic reputation that should give Marley all he needs to open doors big time. I wasn't so lucky, but I am glad he is.
