Still just today the White House said his taxes are somehow still under audit, and that Donny will release them when the audit is finished.

1. Yeah sure.

2. The IRS said they can be released while under audit.

3. Nixon released his while under audit.

Fortunately Trump’s accounting firm and Deutche Bank can’t hide behind such false rationalization and so the documentation that really matters will eventually see the light of day. Not before the election of course, but the public will eventually see the proof that Trump is a major tax dodger and indebted to the Russian Oligarch’s that essentially run Deutche Bank.

Wouldn't the IRS have made Trump pay up by now if he and the company and family dodged and avoided taxes. Of course he is their boss now. IRS is part of the executive branch and more specifically the Treasury Department. The Democratic Chairman or the House Ways and Means Committee where tax legislation begins wrote the IRS demanding Trump's tax returns and pointed out the law which states" If the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee requests a citizens tax records, the Commissioner of The Internal Revenue Service SHALL forward those records to the Chairman".

But the Chairman can't release it to the public. Against the law. But Congressman Adam Schiff, D. Cal. hates and detests Trump to the core so, as he has done several times before with Trump info, Schiff was to leak it to CNN and the Democratic Party which works closely with the press to damage Trump, will run a smoke screen to keep Schiff out of jail.

But the IRS Commissioner would not follow the law and forward Trump's returns because he answers to the Secretary of the Treasury who is in Trump's cabinet. In short, Trump would not let the IRS follow the law.

Also Trump has one of the best Tax firms in New York City employed. It's run by three men who know how to avoid paying taxes you don't really owe if you know the legal loopholes. The three tax experts are Misters Duck, Dodge and Hyde.

Even if Trump's CPA would leave something for the IRS to take a bite out of, does anyone really think Trump's supporters would hold it against him for cheating on his taxes?

Interesting that Justice Gorusch and Justice Kegstand concurred with the majority...

Maybe not, but if the world found out that he isn’t really a billionaire, that would cut Trump the deepest.

Not really. This was unanimous (except for which precedent was most important). The issue had nothing to do w/taxes. It was whether a president has to comply w/a subpoena. Yes. Even Justice Kegger had to know the answer to that (& if not, his clerks who write the opinions did).

Absolutely not. They've been with the Russian loving racist since day 1. Russia first & USA somewhere down the line. Silly little tax returns and what illegalities he may have committed are no big deal. He's making the Confederacy great again, and that matters more.

My post is specific to the New York State investigation which doesn't specifically involve the IRS. Rather, NYS has requested documentation from Trump's accounting firm relating to Trump's personal financial documents AND his business financial documents.

Also, NYS has requested financial documentation from Duetche Bank where we know Trump has borrowed huge sums of money and thus submitted what could be fraudulent financial disclosures. Again, these requests are separate from matters pertaining to any requests from the IRS from the House committee investigation.

The NYS investigation it seems to me is far more potentially damaging to Trump since he can't, especially after today's Supreme Court ruling, do anything to stop the accounting firm and Duetche Bank from complying with the ruling.....Which is why he's already gone into the usual spin mode of "Witch Hunt" purely political, blah, blah...

In the ruling, even his 2 Christian Conservative / anti choice appointees voted against him. He then attacked the Supreme Court with his "poor poor pitiful me" shtik.

This wasn't a vote against Trump. Any justice would agree. All 9 agreed that a president must comply w/a subpoena & cited cases going back to Burr/Jefferson, Nixon, Clinton. Chief Justice Roberts reminded again that a president is not a king. He must obey.

From a rule of law point of view, you are correct.

However, politically, let’s not forget that “getting the judges we want” was for the Right the ONLY thing that gave them the out to begrudgingly put up with this clown or pretend he doesn’t even exist. Absolute pure rationalization used to refuse to acknowledge that he’s a completely horrible human being.

This Supreme Court session has been politically devastating for the Right and for Trump. Utterly devastating.

Which goes to show how ignorant those believers are about what SCOTUS justices actually do. When it comes down to it, they're bound by precedent. They can tinker a bit here & there (like who pays for birth control), but they've got to really have strong legal reasons & incentive to make enormous changes. Also, SCOTUS chooses its cases contrary to the belief that every case gets there if the litigants have enough money. Roberts & Co have consistently chosen cases that will be a blow to Trump personally - some of which the government knew it would lose but pursued at Trump's directive. SCOTUS justices have surprised the presidents who appointed them for 240 years. It really is a dumb campaign plank.

Which also goes to show how ignorant Trump himself is about the role of the Supreme Court...As far brighter people than I have mentioned, yesterday’s ruling was a victory for the republic, the constitution, and democracy.

Indeed. The man has created such a false narrative about his business acumen, wealth, genius, etc. that as each day passes wherein he proves exactly the opposite with his oh so obvious incompetence and ignorance, the facade crumbles more and more.

The most exhausting part about the past 3+ years has been the utter disregard or outright ignorance for due process and the rule of law. The daily blatant lies, the personal attacks, the hypocrisy, the revolving door of enablers, the tantrums, those are all tiresome too. But the attack on the basic foundation of the republic from the Executive branch while Cult 45 cheers him on has been really stupid to witness.

Absolutely....What I find most encouraging of late is that we’re beginning to see the formation of a large wave of reckoning that is about to hit the Republican Party members who have enabled this disgraceful behavior. And I say that as member of the party....After these past few years I’m to the point where I’m considering changing my party affiliation to Independant.

Surprisingly, here in way upstate, NY where Trump won several counties, the polls are showing a very sharp drop in support for Trump. I thought I’d never see such a thing.

The disinformation here in FL has already begun. There's been an ad in which a 911 call goes to an automated voice mail, implying that Biden supports defunding the police. Nevermind that emergency services aren't PD, that isn't what "defund police" means, nor that Biden has ever supported it.

https://www.factcheck.org/2020/06/trumps-deceptive-ad-on-biden-and-defundin g-the-police/

I get people worrying about their 401K, but at what cost?

Sadly, all it takes for the incredibly gullible Trump cult is such a useless declaration and they’re swayed into thinking he’s the second coming...Forget the mountains of evidence to the contrary and believe dear leader when he says he’s a genius and will save them.

The scariest thing of his winning to those who knew he was a buffoon w/inherited real estate he managed to bankrupt is that he was totally unprepared to govern anything. He had then - & has made no attempt to obtain - an understanding of basic civics. He was absolutely stunned to discover that his power was checked by 2 other branches of government. Based on his remarks re SCOTUS yesterday, he still doesn't get it.

I think half of his incompetent & dangerous mistakes are rooted in this fundamental of not getting the foundation of the republic. Were he merely a neophyte to governance (e.g., Schwartzenegger) & willing to learn from experts, he wouldn't be 1/2 as scary.

Up here my conservative friends and relatives think Trump is ignorant and unaware of how our democracy works. They would rather vote for someone else. But they love Trumps picks for judges. So they are going to reluctantly vote for him again.

Biden, so they tell me, is also incompetent, ignorant, sticks his foot in his mouth so much its smart of his handlers to keep him in the basement and away from microphones. They also find Biden to have racism in his past comments and his praise of such blatant racists as Robert Byrd D W.Va former Grand Wizard of the KKK in West Virginia.

But the real kicker is they feel Bernie, AOC and other radical leftists and socialists have pushed Biden too far to the left. Much further than Obama was.

Indeed a vote for Biden would be a vote for radical leftists anti Christian judges, open borders, legalization of all 20 million illegal immigrants and statehood for Washington DC ensuring ONE party rule at the federal level for decades, late term abortion ( these people want ZERO abortions, that abortion is an affront to God Almighty and his commandments), further erosion of the sanctity of marriage and further destruction of normal traditional family life, legalized drugs and prostitution. And a all out attack on capitalism and free enterprise, the destruction of our energy independence making us again dependent on foreign oil, socialist big government control of our freedoms including where you can live, what kind of automobile you can own ( must be electric), banning of the internal combustion engine, mandating how you heat your home, cook and what you can eat or drink, whether or not you can travel by air or even travel at all as you will be forced to visit and conduct business meetings online etc etc. In other words a big SOCIALIST government take over of health care, energy, food, transportation, banking etc and the banning of America's historical past, the elimination of statues and artifacts our socialist society deem offensive, the removal of any monuments and places named for even George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, the flag, the national anthem etc.

Their answer to this? Vote for Trump, I'D RATHER BE RED THAN DEAD AND ANTI AMERICAN POLITITIONS SUCH AS AOC AND BERNIE SANDERS CAN KISS OUR @@@ AND BURN IN HELL. THEY WOULD RATHER BE DEAD THAN RED AND ANOTHER CIVIL WAR IS STIRRING IF THE LEFTWING YOUNG PUNKS DONT STOP THE RIOTING.

For clarification my deeply conservative Catholic relatives would not tell anyone to kiss their a@@. Or participate in a civil war but the guys I know in their 70's (my age) that use to go to Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Garth Books, David Allen Coe concerts and NASCAR races and ride loud Harleys would join in a fight to stomp Antifa and the other liberal socialists groups in the ground. They are even suspicious of Black Lives Mater and wonder if the rumors about them being an anti American, anti police, socialist political movement are true. They are fine if it's about illegal police brutality but if its anti American socialism then they will bring guns into the streets and meet them head on.

And yes AOC and Bernie can go @@@@ themselves if they think they will be forced off their Harley and have to ride an electric bike and turn in their guns. Oh and Bete O'Rourke is another they turn red, blue and indigo about. But he is out of the picture now. He was the anti gun guy. Hard to believe they use to be hippies. Now they are acting like rednecks. Rather fight then switch.

Well I too aren't interest in socialism and a world with so many damn rules and regulations all in the name of climate change and social justice than I cant ride my bike and fly from New York to LA any damn time I want. We dont need electric vehicles and trucks and trains to reduce CO2. We peaked 5 years ago damn it because of natural gas replacing coal for power generation. Buy an electric car if you want but let technology and the FREE market do the rest. BP oil company for example has installed more windmills and solar panels than anyone. And they and other oil companies are working on bio fules that are far cleaner than gas and diesel that will run internal combustion engines and Mack Trucks and Harley Davidson motorcycles sound the same. As for aviation, Pratt and Whitney's new Geared Turbofan Jet Engine is 20% cleaner than regular jet engines and with the new biomass jet fuels being developed, 80% less CO2!!!! Several airlines are testing this fuel now but only in one engine. And the cost needs to come down but it will just as electric cars will for those who want them.

He touts himself as a "stable genius" & acer of a cognitive test, but is pretending that a pandemic doesn't exist. It took us months to reach 1 mm cases of Covid19 & in just 28 days, we've reached another million for a total of 3mm. It's not because there's more testing; if people didn't HAVE Covid, they wouldn't test positive.

BTW, the Montreal Cognitive test he took (at Walter Reed perhaps during that mysterious visit) has 30 questions like name the 3 animals pictured, list words that start w/the letter "F," and what do these three things have in common (they're all fruits or food). Everyone here would "ace" it.
