Prayers for John Prine. I also read that C&W artist, Joe Diffie died from CV.

Prayers for John. I jumped on the bandwagon late. I knew he wrote Angel from Montgomery & was well regarded but not much else. I saw his 2005 Austin City Limits episode and was hooked. Bought the album he was touring then, Fair & Square, and played it regularly.

Got to see him headline the Fox in ATL in 2014 with Jason Isbell & 400 Unit opening. Both were great then John had Jaso back out for a couple songs and they were divine together.

John is a cancer survivor and had other health issue. Man, hope he pulls through....

Yes John is very special.

Joe Diffie was 61. There is just something the women love about a pickup man.

His wife posted that he was in stable condition. She later clarified that he's not getting worse. I read it to mean he is still in critical condition. Continued prayers for John.

Correct.

“I need to clarify what I mean by ‘John is stable,’ ” Fiona wrote in a follow-up tweet. “That is not the same as improving. There is no cure for COVID-19. He needs our prayers and love — as do the thousands of others who are critically ill. Stay at home. Wash your hands. We love you.”

here's an old radio interview with Studs Terkel from 1970 where John plays a few songs and talks how he wrote some of them like Sam Stone .. http://chicagoradioandmedia.com/multimedia/audio/773-wfmt-studs-terkel-inte rviews-john-prine-1970?fbclid=IwAR0TAwsDBvRO4z6zzCg_hT_nm27fr2IqknqZT9CJsMQ S9pKNoT7ADaYEH_w

I DVR'd and saved the recent one highlighting his new album.

I love the tune When I Get To Heaven, It highlights his charm.

The whole disc is great, Classic Americana.

Here's another vibrating mediocre grab from last year NYC doing a song he wrote for his Dad, Paradise. I pray he found his. This ain't right he's gone.

While I only really knew of John through Bonnie Raitt's cover of "Angel from Montgomery" I was certainly aware of his impact on musicians and songwriters around the globe....What a loss

R.I.P. John

Not the news I wanted to wake up to. Sad, sad day.
One of the world's great gifts has left this world.
We've got to beat this Coronavirus!

After hearing of Kirk and Kirsten, I am now very concerned about all who attended that show on the 10th.

Sad news indeed. John was an inspiration. And had suffered so much in life then to catch this horrible virus.

In New York now if you are on the street not necessarily, a $1000.00 fine.

At the grocery store yesterday. Everyone wearing masks and latex gloves and looking st each other as if the other person was the creature from the black lagoon.
