Richie Rich the stubby fingered draft dodging orange tub of lard sent out a multi-tweet thread about an hour ago announcing that his ratings for his press conferences are right up there with the season finale of The Bachelor.

Ty Warner who owns the Four Seasons in Manhattan has closed the hotel but said any healthcare professional who would like to stay there rather than go home and risk infecting their loved ones can stay free. Trump International on the southwest corner of central park is still open and will rent you a room for $525.

Since Trump began making the press conferences a daily ritual, a couple of weeks ago—an eternity in the pandemic era—his more memorable lines are already featuring in political attacks against him. “I don’t take responsibility at all,” Trump insisted, two weeks ago. When asked to assess his own performance, he said, “I’d rate it a ten.” This Wednesday, with members of his coronavirus task force joining him onstage, he added, “We’ve done one hell of a job. Nobody has done the job that we’ve done. And it’s lucky that you have this group here right now for this problem or you wouldn’t even have a country left.”

Now he says hospitals are hoarding ventilators. Can someone here please tell me why he is the man we need at this time. If anyone takes me up on that offer I have a bridge in Manhattan to sell you. Great deal.

BUT....$525 seems like a bargain when compared to some of the rates the Secret Service pays at Trump Resorts to protect him. Obviously Ty is not as sharp a businessman as Trump.

When Trump leaves office, he'll have to find another income stream since he'll no longer be able to bilk the taxpayers that worship him. Keep in mind that his family's balance sheet is looking out for the American people.

Secret Service has paid rates as high as $650 a night for rooms at Trump’s properties

Is The Bachelor still on? As if we need further proof of his egomania. Running the country according to TV ratings.

Are the ratings so high because people are turning in to get useful information, or are they tuning in to watch the trainwreck and see what stupid thing Trump says today?

Trump suggests that reporters should look into where all the masks in New York are going. “Something's going on, and you ought to look into it. Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door?”

Just when you think that cocksucking dick breath POS can't get any worse he proves you wrong!

March 26- Cuomo said two patients per ventilator
March 27- Cuomo admits to N.Y.stockpiling 1000's of ventilators

You can read it, comprehend, and assume whatever conclusion fits your desired "feeling" but to my non -political perspective, Cuomo screwed the pooch with those two comments.

Politicians need to step up, quit politicizing everything, and do their jobs. That is asking too much, cause it is more important to place accountability/responsibility on someone else. I feel for the people living in large metro/condensed population areas. You are screwd, more ways than getting sick and/or dying.

Would you consider it honest to use a new username on a website and conceal your former username? Strikes me as dishonest. When I changed my username here early on I had Rowland delete my first account, then I told folks about it - I didn't come creeping back under a different name and keep my old account.

What is your opinion of this kind of behavior?

It seems really strange - do you agree?

No you don’t. Why lie?

What Cuomo stated is truth on both accounts. No lie there.
If Cuomo was a Republican or Independent, my opinion would still be the same. B/S is B/S regardless.

.Go tell Rowland that you think somebody lied. Be sure to mention Cuomo, cause he actually did/does.

I am not being nothing but honest to myself. One day saying two have to share one ventilator dictates the opposite of admitting you have thousands in stockpile the next day. I don't care about his perception to people who are already in his car. He is spouting the usual narrative and will be lauded favorably regardless. If you want to believe it's cool to horde something while crying that you don't have enough is heroic? Go for it. That is scumbag behavior for anyone to do in a crisis,, politician or not.

He said they stockpiled them. Every state does. The federal government has a stockpile of them. The point is, no one has even close to enough.

You don't see every state saying two per one, when they have tens of thousands in a warehouse. When a patient's lungs are filled with fluid, in this case blood. One ventilator barely expands the lungs enough to function. So putting two patients on one jeopardizes both. If necessity applied, it is justified I suppose? When you have thousands not being used, why bother. It's not like Ford and Tesla are not making more, by thousands right?

Skydog31203:

I get what you say about seeing what one sees, we both have shared our views on that. An honest question, "If your friend or family member died of the virus and the doctor told you it was because they had to share a ventilator with another patient then you find out there were some available a few miles down the street, but the Governor was stockpiling them. How would you feel?"

That is an interesting question I'd like to weigh in on if I can?

I get some conflicting statements from Cuomo on this because on one hand, you do want to stockpile and prepare for an increased need that he expects to be around the corner. On the other hand, he has equipment that could better address the current need, but then potentially leave him shorthanded for the future need.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. One of many difficult decisions that are going around.

If they can make a single ventilator work properly for two patients right now while saving another ventilator for later, that is fine. I can agree with tat approach. However, if using a single ventilator on two patients results in the death of one or both patients all while more equipment was sitting in storage somewhere that could've done a better job and perhaps saved that life, then that is a problem.

And I see both sides of the coin. I would say this, it should be up to the doctor to decide if he/she can successfully use a single ventilator on two patients at once, based on matching lung capacity and their specific condition vs using two ventilators with one for each patient. We just need to understand that by doing that now, using two now, when one could maybe do the job, that it takes more supply out of the future need. It's all a trade off, everything is. The ultimate decision should lie with the doctor all while knowing equipment is at a premium and scarce. With that in mind, make the best decision possible. If my loved one died under those conditions, while incredibly sad and depressing, I think I would understand the situation these people are working through and I can put myself in their shoes. Nobody wants to have a bad outcome from a decision they are genuinely trying to do the best they can. These are just very challenging times to be in the medical field with this virus.

It is important to add, that the hospital and the doctor needs to have the ability to call upon the stockpile now. Cuomo shouldn't say the stockpile is off limits. I'd say try the two-for-one approach when it is appropriate. If doctors are restricted from accessing the ventilators in the stockpile, that is wrong. They should only be used with the two-for-one isn't appropriate or when other ventilator options, like the anesthesia ventilator can't be used. If Cuomo is strictly putting the stockpile off limits, that is wrong.
