Just got a new computer at work with a combo DVD/CDRW drive.

Now, when I burn a CDR using EAC (EAC095pb05) things appear to be progressing correctly, but then at the end, things hang for awhile, then the CDR tray pops out (but does not retract) and I get a pop-up error message:

Write Error
Load/Eject CD:
Power Calibration area error

Now...the burned CDRs seem to be okay (except one so far)...

Anyone have any ideas about what's going on?

BTW...in case you were thinking about this as a reply....I looked on the EAC Forum site...lot's of similar questions/problemns but no definitive answers....probably just that the DVD/CDRW is not 100% compatible with EAC for writing...

I don't get a lot of errors but 99% of the ones I do get are while it is writing the "Lead Out" and those discs always play fine. I do not send them to people because I am not certain they are allright in every respect but they play and sound fine.

That was a lot of help no wasn't it!

it could be that it is not 100% compatible with burning shows while you are 'on the clock'

again, not much help....

...yeah...so far I've resisted the urge to call our LAN/Computer support folks about my EAC problem...

I couldn't get Feurio to load right earlier today either...next stop is Nero...

Great! While I was out on vacation he installed a new computer, and was nice enough to lock up my personal external CDRW without making any comments about hanging unauthorized hardware off of a Government computer...

...reminds me I should probably burn him a copy of some of these Beacon shows...
