What did older people ever do for this countey? Screw them. We need a Logan's Run type society without old people so the wealthy can get more tax breaks.

The wealthy need more tax breaks so they can golf at Mar-a-Lago with the golfer in chief...the golfer in chief who criticized Obama nonstop over Obama's golf outings. Remember Trump saying how little time he'd take off from the WH, as there was so much to be done. Just google it up.

Not surprising as he's said on the record many times that he'd cut Medicare if it were up to him. And still the middle class votes these people in election cycle after election cycle.

Have said several times that people vote against their own self interests. What is sad is when they are so caught up in campaign hype, rhetoric, catch phrases, and false promises that they don't realize they will end up getting screwed by the candidate they vote for. Of the 32% of the country still approving of Trump, one wonders what % of the 32% voted against their own self interests.

Many of Trump's shrinking base are people I know personally. They're lower middle class mostly and they simply hated Hilary more than they believed Trump. Like most of Trump's supporters they were/are frustrated by Washington and so voted for a non politician. The problem of course is that Trump, while not a politician, is arguably a far worse con man than most any other politician.

On top of that, Trump is obviously extremely incompetent and ignorant about most anything besides real estate development. Even in the world of real estate he's proven to be a con artist and often a shyster. Without Russian money he never would have recovered from the 2008 financial collapse.

Now a year in and his supporters, if they're honest with themselves, are witnessing and coming to terms with exactly who Trump is out for and it certainly isn't the low or middle class who put him in the White House.

I really do not think Paul Ryan wants to hurt anyone who has Medicare coverage. If they can find a way to make it more efficient, lower the co-pays for retirees then that would be good. Medicare does NOT cover all the bills someone has, which is why there are companies that offer to pick up and pay something towards the costs that Medicare does not fully cover. Personally I think it should cover everything, but as it is now, it doesn't.

I did not hear anywhere that he plans to do any sinister to the coverage, so I am not sure why you think that. He only said it is a large expense in the budget. I know it is a program that people who are 65 are eligible for, but the term entitlement program makes it sound like a welfare program when it is not. Maybe he could refer to it as a the retirement program for Americans, which is what it should be; the govt. should stop paying SSI to welfare recipients out of Social Security funds. Anyone on welfare who needs disability should be able to get that from a separate dedicated program that provides benefits for that group. There should be a separation of welfare programs from the Social Security program, AND we should do something bold, bodacious like that state of Hawaii did and offer every American a UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME. That is the name of the program, it is innovative, other countries are doing it and we should do that here also. There are 100,000 homeless children in New York City, WHY? Because nobody has a universal basic income to cover basic costs of living. Yes the rents are too high, but people end up on welfare and are expected to live, and find housing living on $7,000 a year or slightly more. They can't do it in NY. 100,000 homeless children. That in and of itself is wrong, and America will not become great again unless some of the things wrong with the system are fixed.

I read the first sentence and realized, once again, that gina has no idea what she is talking about.

I would like to know why some of you think he wants to come after Medicare and make cuts to it. I did not find anything to indicate that in the article. So if any of you rogues can find that, please enlighten me.
