Yes, cool footage ! BUT, couldn't they have had better stage lighting so the dude filming could have gotten better footage, so those of us 45+ years later trying to scrutinize it could do so, better? Didn't they think of that?

What a wonderful surprise. The only other footage I have seen from that era is the Johnny Cash Show footage. At first glance, on my tiny phone, it would appear that the music and video are out of sync or unrelated in spots. If so, it is still really cool. Thanks so very much for sharing this!

They obviously dubbed the audio from one of the three FE shows recorded in Oct. '70, the way the audio was dubbed onto the footage of Duane from Love Valley, which Masahiko worked on.

All 3 of those FE Dominos show have been either released commercially or bootlegged. Supposedly they didn't know they were being recorded on those nights.

The pinnacle of Clapton's playing career, IMHO.

Masahiko, YOU ARE THE MAN, BRO! Hope I can get back to Japan so you can take me back to EC's favorite restaurant again - man, that breaded pork dish was INCREDIBLE.....

That video is not D&D, it is from the ARMS concert. I've had that show on VHS and DVD for years. Jimmy Page is so wasted on smack he completely sweats through his suit.....you wonder if he's going to survive the show.

Only time I've ever seen Clapton play a Gibson Explorer - on slide, no less.

never said it was D&D, [it was 1983] and a benefit for Ronnie Lane, who was suffering from M.S.

Ray Cooper must have been dosed. Kenny Jones is the first to start staring at this nut hammering a gong over and over beside his ear.

I always liked what Page did on Layla there. Different but respectful to the original. Too bad Cooper hits his gong peak at that point. What a lineup of talent for that show. Have to find my stub and see what it cost. I imagine it was a quarter of a Stones shows now.

While Clapton has become a more well-rounded musician, I would say, as a soloist, the Derek and the Dominos period is my favorite. A great band with great guitar work from Clapton. On a side note; I was at the 1983 ARMS Concert at the Cow Palace. Fortunately the very talented Jimmy Page made it through that period and regained much of his prowess.

It was very cool to see Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton together. I've seen Clapton three times. Although I'm not a young man anymore, I'm too young to have seen the Allman Brothers with Duane, Jimi Hendrix, or Clapton with Cream or Derek and the Dominos. My favorite music was the music of the generation that was about a decade ahead of me. That half a decade between 1966 and 1971 was magical.
