Hello all.
I have a 1 CD version of this show(9/11/71 Clemson) that is from an old bootleg LP called
"Statesboro Blues" that is mislabeled as 10/17/71 Painter's Mill Music Fair (Duane's actual last show). Does anyone have the more complete 2 disc version of this Clemson 9/11/71 show?
I have much to trade...please contact me at = southerncdman@cs.com

Thanks

I also have the 1 disc version of this show. Out of curiousity, what's on the missing disc?

The version of the show from the boot LP is as follows:

Statesboro Blues / Trouble No More / Don't Keep Me Wonderin' / Done Somebody Wrong / One Way Out / Blue Sky / In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed / Hot 'Lanta

The 2 CD version contains the missing
"Midnight Rider", "Stormy Monday" & "Whipping Post"

The only person in the database that says they have the 2CD version, I can't get in touch with.

Is there REALLY a 2-cd version out there? 32 people on etree have this show (myself included!) and none of us have a two disc set!

I'm hoping there is a "full" version out there (and maybe Phillybob can now turn it up), but I would be interested first to check with the one listed owner of this version as to whether it really is what it purports to be - no offence to him, but we've all been stiffed with bogus shows in the past, and he may be in possession of a fraud but doesn't know it yet.

Deano you set yourself up. I finally had enough of you when you went off on brother Clay and then started complaining about Captain Skip's remasters you took it too far.

Every single show you received from me or from anyone else you listened to it not for your enjoyment but so that you could find something wrong with it, a minute digi scratch, a cut a splice, missing an introduction anything you could find.

You are correct I list everything I have but I am able to live with B shows, as I appreciate something rather than nothing. I am straight up, the people wan't the shows because it means something to them If Clemson is B+ or A- so be it, its better in my opinion than nothing.

So Deano you made your own grave start acting Civil Publicly apologize to CLay and CPT Skipper and will take it from there.

Until then its off to the Beacon for me.

Relocating out of the trailer park, moving out of the City!! Getting a REAL Job OMGGGG your what 40 years old and just now going to move out of Mommy's trailer park!!! Sheeez there is hope for you yet.

Were all searching for better quality stuff and upgrading. Your problem is not bad burns, its your outdated equipment that you try and listen to stuff on. After awhile the equipment falters sort of like the left side of your brain that keeps skipping.

Don't move up east Deano you will have to work for a living.

It's been an unpleasant learning curve for sure. I just wanted to contribute to the fray. There are often so many variations of shows, one has this, another doe not have that. I try to find the best copies, the most complete. I do not trade messed up shows. And if I have burned crap, I expect people to tell me they go bad product from me. I just got a ten cd burn of Skynyrd from France. The burn had potential, a new source for Tuscaloosa 75, as the audio was much better, much less hiss. It has Am I Losin. That would be the only other live version of the song. But the guy must have burned the shows very fast. Freebird was jumping all over the place. Bristol, the single disc version from 76, it has Tuesday's Gone. This was also a better audio, but the disc was a bad burn, nothing but. Most of the cds in this trade have been marred with MANY MANY errors. I simply cannot trade the shows. And I got a show I had never heard, a Europen show. But he has to burn the shows correctly. I am waiting. He is working with me. He sent me a version of Teaching An Okie to Fly, the Steve Gaines rehearsal session. His version is poor quality. I will set him up with my very high quality version. And he got me two more sources for the St Pete 75 show. Mine was marred with track laying dimples, chops, etc. One version lacked those flaws. The other St Pete show, which he thought was Miami, it has the missing version of Railroad Song. So, I will combine the two versions, also reset the speed, slow it down, as I did on my copy. I'm the most anal of the anal when it comes to getting a few of these things right. I put out the Skynyrd Rarities disc where I reset the speed for Cottonmouth Country. It's a great demo, when the speed is reset. Now that cd of rarities is all over the Skynyrd site. It has Road Fatigue, Woman of Mine, Am I Losin, Tuesday's Gone-- from Winterland, One Known Soldier by the Allen Collin's Band. It's a respectable overview of Skynyrd, and then some. A better overview would have been two discs, but it is great enough to turn people onto collecting the live Skynyrd shows. Like it or not, I have sort of been bearing the torch for the Ronnie era shows. Some day old Skynryd stuff will be more mainstream, and I adopted the very liberal abb philosophy of just spreading the wealth. Some day someone will clean these shows up, and who knows, maybe we will see an archive release. I've read a couple exist.

I have a listener's input to add to the fray. I try to trade the best versions of abb and Skynyrd. I will say something is way off speed, if it in fact is. I might have made myself a pariah in the process, but at least the issue of speed will not be ignored. I have altered the speed on only a small number of shows. I do not endorse, nor would it be a good thing to think that many traders would be tinkering with the speed on live shows. But only a very few shows are way off on speed, shows like 3/15/73, macon 73, etc. Someone out there resets the speed to shows now and then. I have gotten slow and and then fixed shows, stuff I never had to touch.

Anyway, Skip does some fine work. Clay is a middle man, a b and p guy.

We all have something to add to the trading fray.

And I most certainly can set a value on Bob hanging on to shows that are messed up, knowing that someday they might be salvaged by a Skip, then spread by a Clay, and then Ol Deano will sit back fat and happy, and he might then offer it up for b and p. I mean, I have spread a lot of music here via b and p.

And I don't have the energy, nor the anger to keep fighting about trivial stuff. I have to concentrate on my life a bit. I am considering relocating, taking a job out of the city. So, I have things to think about.

Peace, ya'll.

"It's been an unpleasant learning curve"

For a man of suppossed character, your sure post like a bottom feeder. I always have said I thought you a nobody in this crowd. But you are an aggressive nobody, so I guess that amounts to something. And I did make the mistake a long time ago of taking on more than I should have. I encourage you to continue wasting all of your time here cultivating loads of cyberpals. Knock yourself out burning cds for everybody. You're the King, and who the hell cares.

Bob, my mom should probably get a smaller place, go into some sort of assisted living situation. She just fell again, at a movie theater, and broke her arm, the one she has dialysis through. She has now had three broken arms. Her health is getting no better quick. The house needs work, and it needs someone with more energy and time than I have to give it. My time spent on this house is wasted time. The house needs to be sold. So, if I move away, get a better job, she can sell the house. I do have a degree, and I can get a job. I was living here because, of course, it is cheaper.

And I have decent equipment. I got rid of the unreliable JVC cd player. That one would not play all of my bootleg cdrs. That JVC mislead me about a few burns. The Sony is better, not perfect, but much more reliable. And I have the alpine cd player in my truck as a second reference, and a Kenwood cd player at that, plus the boombox I bought for mom.

And I have admitted that I have some problems with depression at times. Go ahead and kick me around for not enjoying you and some of your company. The pack of jackals you hang out with is no better than those religious pharisees, the Baptists, that I used to know. It's just a different controlling conformist construct.

This means, dumbass, that I still think you should still come pucker up lay a sloppy French Kiss on my hairy asss.

Dean, It might be a good idea to "Row Row Row your Boat Quickly out of Town!

Of course if Bob sings it for you I'm sure it will be "quickly out of Tune" since according to you he doesn't know quality when he heres it.

Back to the original question: who really has the 2 cd version (inc the final 3 tracks)? And does it sound better than the nasty, vinyl-scratched version I have?

Sorry, that was TWO questions....
