This thread has been started as a safe haven for Emily Procter, a refugee from the Tina Fey Appreciation Thread.

As you can see in the pic below of Emily at home, she is much more comfortable now that's she's away from certain elements of the other thread, much as though Sandman admirably tried to maintain its pure dedication to Tina.

Gina, yes, Emily is a far, far cry from Paris Hilton! Billy, an interesting selection. Julie Anne Smith (!) is in between there somewhere (probably 3 far cries from Paris in some respects, but only 1/2 far cry, or a near cry, in others). More on that later, but first this important announcement:

Less than 470 minutes until
~*~ The Emily Procter Hour ~*~

Man, I'd like to get my hands on that pussy.

###However, Sang, I'll give Coot the benefit of the doubt and clean up his obvious typo for him:

Man, I'd like to get my hands on that piano.

Alright, if you want to substitute piano as the "p" word, I would just like to go on record as saying I'd especially like to tickle her ivories, repeatedly!

I thought that was a writing desk.

Actually, I didn't even notice the piece... of furniture.

I think you're right, Billy:

I think the well-proportioned legs threw me off--I mean the desk's table legs! Or the cool pic of Jimi put me in an overmusical mind.

Yeah, Sang, after getting psyched up all week, there wasn't enough Emily. Just don't tell Coot about the extended cleavage-centric scene on the rooftop!

At least Emily did have this one cool line, coming into a lab and responding to some technician who uttered something promising but unclear:
"What do you mean, stringbean?"
I like Emily's delivery! Her voice and demeanor are very sweet.

Message Emily asked to be passed along:

"You rang, Sang? You boys are always welcome to drop by for a little tea and tete a tete. Well, 'cept that Old Coot fella had best be chaperoned."

This Day in Emily History
March 15, 2004

quote:
Tonight is another rerun - one that needs more Emily.....
Sang, it started out pretty good: 4 Emily scenes in the first 30 minutes! Then it cooled off, and there was 1 more Emily scene a few minutes later, and none the last 20 minutes! Here's the Emily log:

1. Emily searches through a pool of blood to find broken pieces of a car's taillight. This is music video style: Only Emily onscreen, no talking, while some song is playing.

2. A shorter "music video" as Emily, back at the CSI lab, puts the glass pieces back together, like doing a puzzle, to reconstruct the oval taillight. Emily is looking through a photo catalog of taillight designs when H (David Caruso) comes in, and after a bit of dialogue, Emily comes across the right car page: a Concord.

3. Yet another short music video as Emily does an experiment with taillight lightbulbs. Then H comes in, and Emily bubbles, "Good timing," then explains her findings.

4. Emily and H go back to the parking garage, and Emily discovers the missing bullet lodged in the front right fender of a car across the way from where the vic was lying (the car had originally left the premises before the investigators got to the crime scene). Emily, the CSI team's ballistics expert, immediately identifies the bullet and the weapon that had fired it.

5. Back at the lab Emily tries matching up the murder bullet with similar bullets in the IBIS database but comes up empty. She and H deduce that the shooter must've used the gun on this onetime basis only.

And then the rest of the show was only so-so--no mo' Emily. Okay, less than so-so. The only redeeming factor was that the shooter (and later the witness killer) turned out to be named Pete Tolson, which is almost a cool name.

One last Emily point: Emily is inherently such a happy person, there's usually a trace of a smile on her face even when she's concentrating in the lab.

Cootie says he'd like to get his hands on her, um, piano, but I think he has a better chance of getting his hands on his organ.
