I really enjoyed the Relix newspaper at Lockn' and have been enjoying the magazine itself for decades.

Dean Budnick does a great job with this interview, giving great insights into how TTB formed and evolved as well as Derek's and Susan's relationship, touring, making music... good stuff.

Thanks for posting. The most in depth and conversational TTB article that I have read to date.
Love the Chris Robinson take.

great article. thanks for posting

love this one
quote:
There was a message from Phil Lesh, and I recognized the name but I couldn’t fully place it. I knew there was a Grateful Dead connection there but I didn’t know that stuff at all.”

and agree 100% with this
quote:
“In a world of contrived, corporate, shallow status-seeking nothingness, there’s a whole lot of love right there—and a whole lot of organic music and a whole lot of cosmic consciousness. I couldn’t be more impressed. I don’t know where excellence begins and tremendous stops. It’s all one big scoop of joy.”

I like the part about "needling" Susan to bring out more intense guitar solos.

I've always imagined the Tedeschi/Trucks family would be great neighbors. I envision them working out their arguments through passionate and loud guitar duels. Can you imagine...?

Honey! Quick - grab a fatty! Ol' Derek and Susan are at it again. Theys a fighting and it sounds like a real catterwaller C'mon out to the porch and set a spell. Bring us that pitcher of sweet tea.

the coolest part of the interview, though, is Kebbe Williams setting up an organic garden in a tough section of Atlanta

Lol, yes.

Great article though, it gives me hope for the future of music. I loved the part about Chris Robinson sitting on a drum and freaking out over the set.
Re: the final quote of the article, sometimes the tripped out California hippies really know how to put these things best...
