Hello all,

I am a student in Boston who was lucky enough to score a pre-sale ticket to the 10/28 Beacon show. My classes allow enough of a window for me to get down there, but just barely. I'm wondering if anyone else is making that journey by car on the 28th in the afternoon who might have me tag along (with compensation, of course). If not, I'll just take Amtrak, which I've done plenty of times.

The return is the kicker. I have 10 hours of class the next day starting at 8am, and I would really like to be back for that. There is a train that leaves from Penn Station around 2am, but I'm worried (in a purely logistical, not musical way) that the Brothers will "play all night" for their "final" appearance. Can anyone give me some insight into that? I'm guessing with Gregg's health, etc., they won't be playing for more than about 4 hours, but I'd like to cast out for opinions. Or, if by chance someone is planning to head straight to Boston after the show and could accommodate me, I'd gladly compensate.

Thanks in advance for any and all information.

A little later from Newark is much cheaper, but it's too late to make that first class at 8:00.

While likely to rap by 11:45/12, even if it goes to 1:00 you can be down to Penn safely via the subway in plenty of time for a 2:00 train.

I'd be leery of LGA if you want to be sure and arrive in Boston on time. Every flight I've ever taken out of LGA has been delayed leaving.

i think education, not the allman brothers, should be your priority and you should not miss class at all.....

therefore, i offer to take your ticket off your hands, in order for you to get a proper education.....

you'll thank me later as youre walking across the stage getting that piece of paper......

You can do both. Love the dedication. You should be fine for a 2am train. Penn Station is a quick direct subway ride from Penn.

Hi, everyone:

Thanks for all the informed responses. I've decided to take the train both ways, arriving in NYC at about 6pm and leaving around 2:30am. Can't wait.
