I don't follow musicians because they are nice people, but it's great when they are skilled AND nice. Good going Warren!

Habitat presented Warren with a really cool hand made guitar stool this year. He has certainly earned it.

I wonder if they know his full impact. Habitat became one of the chief charities I support after my first Xmas Jam. I was working for a corporation that "encouraged" giving to the United Way. I had done some research and didn't like their high administrative costs. I went to Human Resources and worked out a different contribution that went to Habitat.

Such a huge tip of the hat to Warren.

I feel so fortunate to have been around and aware of his music for so long now - almost 30 years.

I wonder what the proceeds were from Christmas Jam #1? I'd bet closer to $1,000. Just like his music, he keeps plugging away, doing what he does, day after day, and Great Things Happen.

What really impresses me is that he started helping Habitat for Humanity long before he was a big star. Back then he couldn't really make a big impact. There were no big name guests. There wasn't much press about it. Yet he volunteered his time anyway, doing what he could. I doubt he had any idea it would evolve into what it has.

What a great guy !

The man is a CLASS ACT, both as a musician and as a human being.

I am PROUD to be a fan ...

I have had the privilege of going to the Xmas Jam for the last ten years. The impact he has had in Asheville is wonderful!

Being an Asheville native and growing up around Warren's hometown area it is great to see one of our own get recognized. Having attending 18 out of 25 jams over the years I have see Warren's generosity up close from the days in the beginning when admission at a small club was $5 and 2 cans of food for the homeless shelter.

Great man, humble man.

Thanks Warren

Mike
