I know its "Dickeys" song, but knowing Warren, he will do it justice and do it repectfully! Any thoughts out there?

Sunday at PeachFest will be EAP.

Dickey is a great songwriter. The one song of his I never liked is Ramblin Man. I would be shocked (and most unhappy) if they played it

According to the Peachfest website both days are EAP shows. I am certain they wont encore with Ramblin' Man, and I guess not everyone likes that song, but that Jam they used to do at the end of the song was spine tingling. I know Warren would do it well. He sang back up on it back in the day anyway.

EAP is Sunday night. They will play a different set Saturday. And they won't be playing Ramblin Man either night.

Because Rambling Man is Betts signature song and it is was written by him for him about him!

Love for it to happen but don't count on it. Dickey says the ABB stopped being the ABB in 2000

Personally I still think of it as an ABB song -- the brothers took that riff & really made it their own on the B&S album -- it only got on there because the guys asked Dickey if he had any songs to complete the album, Betts said well there's that Ramblin Country Man one I've fooled around with but it's not like it's really an ABB song...

BO, Jaimoe, Butch & Gregg said, bull -- we can make that one smoke -- & they did -- B&S version my favorite, but as u said they always used to really wail on that in concert (Chuck/Lamar), & I hope you get to hear it petesr

I don't mean to sound like a know it all, it's just the story I've always heard behind the origins of Ramblin Man -- 1st appeared in embryonic form as Ramblin Country Man April 1971 TN ski lodge tape

I too skipped RMan for a long time because of how overplayed it got, but don't skip over it any more when B&S is spinning -- it & Liz Reed are the 2 good ones on WTWCTODGas

They are going to play the same set two days in a row?

Any performance with a set list that deviates from the norm is good, My hope is that if they play "Brothers & Sisters"...well, Chuck Leavell, has to be there, his piano work made this recording "work". I still recall the first time the needle touched the record and the opening notes of "Wasted Words" literally jumped from my Advents...Chuck's sense of "boogie" was all there; listen to the call and response between he and Dickey as the tune comes to an end...

Agreed.

No way they cancel. ABB may or may not play but the rest of the bands will. And of necessary they'll sub for Gregg
