Here's mine. Of course there will be more added as we go:

June 27: Blind Melon, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

July 14: Chris Cain, Little Lou's BBQ. This is an on-going, monthly showcase of one of the Bay area's greatest blues guitarists, second Monday of every month. I say guitarist, and he's one of the best, but he also plays sax and keyboards! To top it all off, these shows are free, and Little Lou's is ONE MILE down the road from me. He blew the roof off so hard last month that I'm going to try and make every one.

July 23: Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, Shoreline Amphitheatre. Crue is the headliner but The Coop should be, in my book. Have you really seen Rock Theatre if you haven't seen Alice decapitated by a guillotine?? And I know from experience it'll be a really hot rock 'n' roll set as well.

August 2: Boston, The Doobie Brothers, Don Felder, Shoreline Amphitheatre. I'm disappointed because Steppenwolf was originally billed as the opener instead of Felder but they cancelled due to a contract dispute. But I'm sure Felder and the Doobies will be good and it'll be interesting to see what Boston can do after all these years with a new lead singer.

August 10: Railroad Earth, Zappa Plays Zappa, James McMurtry, SambaDa and others, Roaring Camp Railroad, Felton. I've seen Railroad Earth and ZPZ so I know they're both tremendous bands. This is an outdoor show from 12:00 noon - 8:00 PM and very reasonable for GA, $50.

Not much. Saw Elvis Costello solo last Thurs, which was great. Was supposed to see McCartney last Sat, but it is postponed until Oct.

Old Fiddler's Convention in Galax, VA Aug 6-9.

Hope to hit Buddy Guy's place in Chicago when I'm there in mid-Aug, or something like that.

ZZ Top/Jeff Beck Sept 6 w/ hopefully a singer to be announced w/ Beck.

EDIT-singer is Jimmy Hall! He is doing this entire tour w/ Beck.

That August 10th lineup is interesting, to say the least. If you've never seen James McMurtry, make sure you pay close attention. The guy can play. He's sort of an odd duck, but he can bring it.

Regarding Don Felder, I just saw him two weeks ago opening for Foreigner and Styx. I hadn't seen him in twenty years, since he was in The Eagles. By all means, get there early enough to catch him. He played for about an hour and twenty minutes and only did two songs I didn't know. It was all Eagles stuff that he wrote or co-wrote. I was really impressed with his vocals on songs that Henley and Frey recorded. Tommy Shaw came out for one song. He was very gracious with the crowd. Of the three bands, he was hands down the best.

Enjoy your summer shows!

Yonder Mountain String Band/ Railroad Earth on July 6th
Phish on July 16th
Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden on July 26th
Peach Fest on August 14-17
Les Claypool Duo De Twang on August 24th
Pearl Jam on October 16

Thinking about attending Ratdog with Dwight Yoakam and Devil Makes 3 on August 30th. Just bummed that Chris Robinson Brotherhood isn't opening the show. Also depends on how much I like the Ratdog set at Peach Fest. Also thinking of attending the Black Keys on September 7th and Drive By Truckers on September 13th.

Thanks for the tips. I learned at a VERY young age, like 17, to always be on time to shows and catch the opener. Meaning at 17, I was on time for Black Sabbath, Gentle Giant and Captain Beyond at The Hollywood Bowl. I am one of the very few who can say that they saw Captain Beyond, and I will NEVER forget that, the did their entire first record then left to a standing ovation. It was off the charts!

After your review I'm looking forward to Felder now. Also, I've heard of James McMurtry but I've never seen him, curious about hearing him.

I am with you, baseball's gotta be in there SOMEWHERE! I have seven tickets for me and some friends to see the Oakland A's - L.A. Angels on Saturday night, August 23rd at Oakland Coliseum. Could be a pennant race game, but the way the A's have been playing they might be 10 games up on the Angels by then. Best record in baseball right now, and it's going on both on the mound and at the plate.

That is an OUTSTANDING lineup, the best I've seen here so far. Let us know how Queen was, I'm very curious as to how they sound with Adam Lambert. They are here in San Jose a week from tonight, July 1st, but it's sold out and I don't have a ticket. I saw them three times in the 70's with Mercury so I've had my day with them. They were great EVERY time. There has never been a band like them and there never will be.

Might try to catch the Crue at the Hollywood Bowl in July. Most likely a game time decision. Other than that, not much... unless the ABB comes out west (Colorado would work!)... better chance of gas dropping to a $1 a gallon than that happening...

Well, my Summer Concert Lineup is pretty bleak.

If I'm not playing it, I'm not going to it. (hmmm, that didin't come out like I meant it to)

My country band is playing a few fairly large private gigs this summer, and really don't have the time or $$ to go see people I would really WANT to see. I really enjoy playing, but I'm really in need of some live music inspiration from some of my heroes.

I got to see ex-Fleetwood Mac'er Rick Vito three times in the past few weeks. First as himself, 2nd as his "alter-ego" King Paris, then live on the web stream with the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band. Afraid that's it for the summer...unless my Lotto numbers come up before summer ends.

In case anybody remembers, my gig opening for Duane Betts went well. Unfortunately, by the time Duane & the Brethren Of The Coast came on (about 11:15pm), there were only about 20 people in the place. I really liked their tunes & Duane played great! If you get a chance to see them, GO!

Hey Laura Jane! I will email you when we get closer. This is my usual Verizon meet-up place:

http://www.millersalehouse.com/location/atlanta-ale-house

Hopefully we will have an official confirmation of Beck's singer (but he played a member's birthday party here recently!).

This is a good deal for tix that I bought:

https://www.livingsocial.com/events/1110465-ticket-package-for-two-to-zz-to p-jeff-beck

And you have a while longer to see the Braves at the Ted; they start playing Cobb in '17.
